You can close your account without a car.

No-vehicle cancellation is an application for vehicle damage cancellation registration. The owner shall fill in the Application Form for Motor Vehicle Registration, Transfer and Cancellation, and carry the original ID card, motor vehicle registration certificate, motor vehicle driving license and the certificate of motor vehicle loss issued by the relevant departments before handling it. The cancellation fee is free.

If the vehicle is sold or stolen and not found, choose to cancel the account, or if the vehicle is damaged and scrapped in the field, return to the place of origin to cancel the motor vehicle file. This is called car-free account cancellation.

If the motor vehicle is damaged in the field due to traffic accidents and other reasons and cannot be scrapped at the place where the license plate belongs, the owner of the motor vehicle can first sell the scrapped motor vehicle at the local motor vehicle recycling enterprise, and after the motor vehicle recycling enterprise confirms the disintegration of the vehicle, it will issue a certificate of recycling the scrapped motor vehicle to the owner of the motor vehicle. After that, the applicant needs to bring relevant materials to the vehicle management office to apply for cancellation of the motor vehicle file and get the motor vehicle cancellation certificate. The materials to be submitted include:

1. Original owner's ID card. The agent shall provide the original ID card and power of attorney of the client, and the foreign personnel shall also issue the original temporary residence permit;

2. Motor vehicle registration certificate;

3. Motor vehicle driver's license;

4. Vehicle number plate;

5. Scrap car recycling certificate.
