In July 1405, 1 1, the weather was clear and there were no clouds in Wan Li. Suzhou Liujiagang Wharf was crowded with people, and countless colorful flags fluttered in the wind. Sent by the Ming emperor, Zheng He, a 35-year-old Sanbao eunuch, is about to lead a fleet to the Western Ocean for the first time. Accompanied by sailors, translators, doctors and ship guards, there are more than 27,800 people. More than 200 ships docked neatly at the dock. Among them, 62 big ships are particularly majestic, and these big ships are also called "treasure ships". Each treasure is 148 meters long and 60 meters wide, which is as high as ten stories. There are nine masts and twelve sails on the ship, which can seat more than 1000 people and need two or three hundred people to drive. The ship was equipped with the most advanced instruments at that time, such as a navigation compass. There are many warships, grain ships and water ships beside the treasure ship. Near noon, the burly Zheng He stepped onto the command ship. He said goodbye to the crowd on the shore with clenched hands, then held high the national flag and shouted, "Set sail!" " In the cheers and blessings of people, the fleet set off like a dragon. The fleet left the Yangtze River estuary and sailed through the East China Sea and the South China Sea, breaking the waves and heading west. Whenever Zheng He went to a country, he first presented his credentials to the king and presented gifts on behalf of Ming Chengzu, hoping to have friendly exchanges with them. All countries welcomed the friendly attitude of large-scale fleets and messengers, and did not show off any force or threaten others. When people heard that the Ming fleet was coming, they all rushed to the seaside to watch. They were surprised at the treasure ship they had never seen before. At that time, China's silk and porcelain had long been famous overseas. People along the way were very happy when they heard that the fleet was full of these products, and they exchanged spices, corals, jewelry and so on for China's local products. Businessmen from all over the world are very happy to do business with China people. Many people also give gifts to China guests to show their friendly feelings. However, this voyage is also full of dangers. At sea, the fleet encountered dangerous waves several times. The wind is roaring, the sea is roaring, like a runaway wild horse. Huge waves pounced on the fleet as if to tear it apart. In the face of such a dangerous situation, Zheng He remained as cool as a cucumber, commanding the fleet to forge ahead courageously in the peaks and valleys, and saved the day again and again. The fleet was also attacked by pirates on the way back. According to the information obtained in advance, Zheng He ordered the soldiers to get ready. When the pirate ship quietly approached the fleet in the dark, Zheng He's fleet quickly surrounded the pirates. The soldiers threw torches from the big ship and lit the pirate ship. Pirates have nowhere to run, so they must be caught. During the 28 years from 1405 to 1433, Zheng He led his fleet to go abroad seven times and visited more than 30 countries. On the last voyage, Zheng He was an old man in his sixties, and his temples were all white. The voyage reached the east coast of Africa and did not return to the motherland until the third year. Zheng He's voyages to the Western Seas reached the peak of world navigation at that time in terms of scale, time and scope. It shows the tenacious exploration spirit of the ancient people in China and broadens the horizons of China people. Zheng He's mission promoted economic and cultural exchanges and friendly exchanges between China and many Asian and African countries. Until now, the story of eunuch Sambo's voyage to the West has been circulated in relevant countries.
