The story of Xiao Jun and Xiao Hong
1932) In July, it rained every day in Harbin, and the editorial department of the International Association newspaper received a letter of help. A woman was trapped in a hotel and had no money to pay the huge rent. The hotel owner is going to sell her to a brothel. The woman who wrote this letter is Zhang Naiying, a literary lover. Her pen name is "Silent Singing". Later, she had a more familiar name: Xiao Hong. Jun Xiao, a young newspaper editor, felt uneasy about this woman and decided to visit her in that hotel. "She only wore a blue robe, but now it looks faded. One side of it cracked above the knee, with bare calves and feet, dragging a pair of deformed women's shoes. " This is Xiao Hong's first impression of Xiao Jun.

The heavy rain lasted 27 days. On August 7, the Songhua River finally burst its banks. The flood flooded into Harbin. In low-lying areas, the flood has flooded to the second floor, so you can sail in the market. The editors of the newspaper began to think about Xiao Hong who was trapped in the hotel. Jun Xiao volunteered to swim to the hotel, but when he arrived, he found that Hong Xiao had boarded the boat and escaped according to the address he had left in advance.

This winter, Xiao Hong and Xiao Jun finally came together, and they had their own small family. Under the influence of Xiao Jun, Xiao Hong's works are left-wing. Two years later, 23-year-old Xiao Hong wrote her famous work "Field of Life and Death", 1935 was published in Shanghai. The novel is set in a remote village near Harbin. With simple, natural and sharp brushwork, Xiao Hong reproduces the secluded life of the village and the poverty, ignorance and bitterness of the villagers. The national consciousness of these little people was awakened from the chaos because of the Japanese invasion. A pair of lovers came together by mistake in a flood. However, the flood brought disaster to Harbin, with 60% of the citizens homeless and 20,000 people killed.

Xiao Hong (1911June1-19421October 22nd), formerly known as (Nai) Ying, was originally the daughter of a big landlord in Hulan County, Heilongjiang Province. She lost her mother when she was young, and her father, Zhang Tingju, was a famous local bureaucratic gentleman, who was not only cruel to the slaves of the tenant farmers, but also strict with Xiao Hong. The family environment and indifferent parent-child relationship made Xiao Hong develop a rebellious character from an early age. 193 1 year, Xiao Hong was forced by her overbearing father to marry Wang Dianjia (Wang Enjia), the son of an old officer. Xiao Hong flatly refused, broke with the feudal family and escaped from his father's control.

She fled her marriage, went to Beiping and was admitted to the High School Attached to Women's Normal University. Her fiance Wang Dianjia followed her. They returned to Harbin because of economic distress and lived together in Dongxing Shun Hotel on Zhengyang 16th Street outside Harbin Road. 1932, Wang Dianjia abandoned the pregnant Xiaohong on the grounds of going home to get money, and was almost sold by the hotel owner to a brothel and paid more than 600 yuan for room and board. Helpless and seriously ill, she turned to the newspaper for help. After receiving the letter, Lao Fei (editor-in-chief Pei Xinyuan) sympathized with the unknown female reader and sent Jun Xiao to visit the hotel. Jun Xiao found Xiaohong at the address shown in the letter. When they first met, Xiao Hong was a gaunt pregnant woman, pale and exhausted, wearing a gray-blue gown and dragging a pair of deformed women's shoes.

Xiao Hong was very surprised by the arrival of Xiao Jun, but she didn't expect that the person who came to see her was Saburo, a writer she admired. Xiao Hong has read poems and novels published by Xiao Junyong under the pseudonym Saburo. Xiao Jun was disheveled and ragged, and lived a vagrant life. But she exudes generous heroism, and Xiao Hong can't help but feel trust and kindness. Young Xiao Hong finally met a bosom friend in the misty sea, and then opened her heart and poured out her tragic life experience, unfortunate experience, unspeakable humiliation, painful mood, longing and pursuit of love and beauty. On Xiao Hong's bed, Xiao Jun found patterns painted on scattered pieces of paper. Although it is sketched at will, the lines are washed and practiced smoothly, which shows the extraordinary artistic talent of the sketcher. Then Xiaojun saw some beautiful short poems on the paper, and Xiaojun was shocked! He was extremely surprised. What he saw was a crystal clear, beautiful, lovely and shining soul! He decided to save this soul at all costs! However, Jun Xiao was unable to cope, and the Songhua River burst its banks, so she was able to take advantage of the chaos to rescue Hong Xiao from the hotel. Xiao Jun and Xiao Hong got married in adversity, and they lived together in a small room in the yard of No.25 Shangpai Street in Daoli. Xiao Jun's gift to his wife was not jewelry, but three love poems that were more precious than jewelry, and Xiao Hong embarked on the road of writing.

Xiao Hong and Xiao Jun lived together for six years (1932- 1938). When they officially broke up, Xiao Hong was pregnant and the child died soon. 1939 (1938), Xiao Hong married Duanmu Hongliang, and this marriage lasted for four years until she died in Hong Kong.

Xiao Hong's physical discomfort causes mental depression, which cannot be simply attributed to sentimentality. The men Xiao Hong met in this life, whether Wang Enjia, Xiao Jun or Duanmu Gongliang in his early years, did not think of this layer. In a male-centered society, Xiao Hong's tragedy is doomed. Facing the deep-rooted male hegemony, she can only be a weak loser. On her deathbed, Xiao Hong finally woke up and sighed, "The greatest pain and misfortune in my life is because I am a woman. 」

The letter I read was written between 1936- 1937. By then, their relationship had changed. The two men have differences in literary and artistic concepts. Xiao Jun has a bad temper and is too macho, so he got into a fight with Xiao Hong. In order to ease the relationship, Xiao Hong went to Japan to take refuge for illness. Meanwhile, Jun Xiao had an affair with two of their friends, and later Jun Xiao had an affair with others. From the content of Xiao Hong's letter in Tokyo, we can see a kind of lonely mood:

"When Bai Yue spilled on the window, I wanted to turn off the light and sit down and be quiet for a while ... Yes, I was in Japan. Freedom and ease, peace and leisure, the economy is not in a hurry, this is really a golden age, and it is spent in a cage. Since then, I have thought of something else. This is wrong, and it is not the right time for anything to come to me. Obviously, I am not used to my own peace, so I love it and am afraid of it. 」

"Although I don't write any painful words, my words are full of joy, but my heart is as dark as being soaked in poison ... I know this is wrong, and I have been criticizing myself, but this is an emotion, and I can't criticize ..."

(1937) years later, their relationship still can't be restored. On May 2, after Xiao Jun sent Xiao Hong to Shanghai, he wrote a letter describing that he sang a poem in the street when he came back at night:

"My heart is not complete! ……

I don't blame the people who love me for their pain,

But blame yourself for your infatuation! 」

On May 8, the letter said again:

"... you are the one who really understands me and loves me in this world! It is this reason that is also the source of my own pain. It's also the source of your pain. But we can't let the pain bite us forever, … and seek … a remedial result. Otherwise, everything will be shattered. ..... Everything can't be handled with the poet's romantic feelings, which is a sign of low energy and weakness! 」

Are these contents like love letters? Never! We can feel the cold relationship between the two people, and love is coming to an end. What attracted them to each other at the beginning? After a few years, the initial love has disappeared, perhaps because of personality differences, it is difficult to get along with life and must be separated. San Mao said:

"Love is a colorful balloon, no matter how gorgeous the color is, it can't stand a gentle stab from the needle tip. 」

For Xiao Hong and Xiao Jun, what is the "needle tip" of love? For Xiao Hong, it may be that Xiao Jun is too conceited, irritable, male chauvinistic, domestic violence and having an affair, but for Xiao Jun, it may be that Xiao Hong is sentimental and sickly, and later separated. There are too many "needle tips", and it is difficult to leave! Xiao Hong died in 3 1, while Xiao Jun has experienced many vicissitudes and is old. 1978, he collated and annotated the old letters written by Xiao Hong and compiled them into a book. I think he should miss this former life partner very much. It is a kind of happiness to be missed by someone.
