This is a very dramatic scene. Sharifutsu is a Buddhist relic in Heart Sutra. His translation is different. He is the cleverest among Buddhist monks. Many classics were revealed by the Buddha because he got up and asked for advice from the Buddha, and he often followed the Buddha's disciples. At this time, "Sharifutsu is motivated by the Buddha's power" is a statement that Sharifutsu is not unaware of this issue. Although he became a monk, he was a Mahayana bodhisattva. He didn't understand it, but he pretended not to understand it, as if he were singing a duet with the Buddha. The power of the Buddha's heart sensed him and asked him to ask questions. This is the mutual induction between the Buddha and his disciples. So Sharifutsu had an idea. If the bodhisattva's heart is pure, then when he becomes a Buddha, his Buddhist land is pure land. Then, isn't it that our teacher Sakyamuni Buddha has been a bodhisattva for several generations, so he doesn't have a clean heart? Otherwise, why become a Buddha in this unclean world?
"When the Buddha knew his thoughts, he said," What does this mean? Isn't the sun and the moon clean? Blind people cannot see. 」
The Buddha sensed Sharifutsu's mind and said to him: What do you mean, isn't the sun and the moon clean? Why can't the blind see the light? The Buddha's truth is that purity and light are everywhere, so why not purity? It is because of the sin barrier of people's own mind.
"That's right: no, Buddha, blind, not the sun and the moon. 」
Sharifutsu replied that it has nothing to do with the net light of the sun and the moon. The sun and the moon are always shining, but the blind can't see their light. The word "Guo" is used here to represent the karma of many births and many accumulations, so the eyes can't see the light.
"Sharifutsu: All living beings are guilty. If the land of Tathagata is not strict and unclean, it is not the fault of Tathagata. 」
The Buddha told Sharifutsu that you were right. All the land in the world is not unclean, and all living beings can't see the solemnity and purity of the land because of their sins. It's not that Buddha can't feel you, but that you can't feel yourself. For example, the sun shines on the earth forever, but you hide in the house and regard the house as your own world, so naturally you can't see the sun. All buddhas and bodhisattvas want to instill their wisdom and light into all beings, but all beings themselves refuse to accept it and are self-righteous.
"Sharifutsu: I am innocent here, but you can't see me. 」
The Buddha told Sharifutsu that the world is the pure land of the Buddha, but you can't see it, only the dirty side.
At this point, let me give you an example for your reference. You are sitting in this room, and the environment is very clean! This wall is made of cement and brick, but the essence of cement and brick is soil. If you put dirt in the room, you will feel dirty. There is wallpaper on the wall. Go to the paper mill and you will know that the pulp is smelly and dirty. Nothing used to be clean, but now it seems to be clean after artificial manufacturing. When you go to the kitchen of the restaurant, everything is dirty, but the food is delicious.
Therefore, the Heart Sutra tells you that impurity is a higher truth, a legal truth and an noumenon. This is also the truth of ontology and the truth of phenomenon. All phenomena in the material world, pure and impure, are created by your wisdom, virtue and idealism. The whirling land in the world is only a part of the land of the Buddha for three thousand years. The Buddha said to Sharifutsu, My whirling land is actually very clean, but you can't see it: It seems that our generation is a little luckier than Sharifutsu and has seen some shadows. Look at the photos taken by astronauts in outer space. How beautiful the earth is! Very strict and clean! This truth is deep and needs to be studied.
"At that time, the king said to Sharifutsu," Don't think that this Buddhist land is impure. So what? I think the Buddha of Sakyamuni is pure, as in the Heavenly Palace. 」
At this time, a Brahma King appeared under the stage. His hair curls to the right. He told Sharifutsu that your idea was wrong. You think this world is unclean, but in the eyes of people in our color world every day, this world is very clean and solemn, just like our heavenly palace.
Sharif said: I see this land, in Qiu Ling, there are pits and ridges, thorns and gravel, and rocks and mountains, full of filth and evil. 」
Sharifutsu said, but from our point of view, there are mountains, pits, thorns, earth and stones, and dirty and smelly things everywhere. Sharifutsu and Brahma are honest about what they see, which is a big problem.
"Brahma Heavenly King said: The benevolent has a high heart and does not rely on Buddha's wisdom, so it is not clean to see this place. 」
King Van Gogh called Sharifutsu a "benevolent man", which is a respectful title for monks or family members of the same generation in Buddhism. It was translated from Vimalakīrti classics and started to be used. The custom in China is to applaud a friend or a good brother. Benevolence means high morality.
The Brahma King said to Sharifutsu, "Because your heart is competitive, it shows that you are divided and care about everything." . In other words, the heart is uneven. If you are calm and regard all sentient beings as Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, that is, waiting, together it is called equal mind.
The concept of equal heart first appeared in human culture, starting from Buddhism. The heart is not equal, so seeing the world is flawed. The reason why the heart is unequal is because it does not follow the wisdom of the Buddha. If you want the wisdom of the Buddha, you must first repair the eyes of the Buddha. Buddha's eyes always look at all beings with kind eyes. Everyone squints, glows and flatters. I remember when I was a child, I followed my mother to the temple. When I saw the statue of the Bodhisattva, I asked my mother why the eyes of the Bodhisattva didn't seem to wake up. She casually replied that if the Bodhisattva completely opened her eyes, there would be no good people in the world, so she had to half close her eyes. That's what I heard at that time. When I grew up and studied Buddhism, I thought my mother was really reasonable. I don't know how she came up with this sentence.
What will the Buddha be? After all, everything is empty and nothing is gained, so Yi Fohui naturally sees the world as empty! Not dirty, you naturally see the pure land.
"Sharifutsu! Bodhisattva is equal to all sentient beings, has a pure heart, and can see the purity of this Buddhist land by relying on the wisdom of Buddha. 」
We are students of the so-called Mahayana Bodhisattva. Reading classics is really embarrassing. What can we do here?
Brahma went on to tell Sharifutsu that because the Bodhisattva regards all beings as equal, if she practices slowly, she can keep her heart clean, not just superficial. According to the truth, our thoughts and concepts are impure, but the sixth consciousness is pure, and the seventh and eighth consciousness are impure. Need to purify the eighth Araya knowledge, which is considered pure. When it comes to this realm, it is true by the wisdom of the Buddha. At that time, the world was pure in the Buddha land.
Therefore, "epistemology" turned the eighth Aryan knowledge into a big circle of mirror wisdom, not only the change of consciousness and mind, but also the change of seed mind and habit, and then looked at the world. What is not clean?
"So the Buddha pressed his feet to the ground, and in real time, there were three thousand treasures in the world, such as the solemn Buddha, and all the people, sighing that they had never had it, saw themselves sitting in Baolianhua. 」
When the Buddha saw the endless discussion between Brahma King and Sharifutsu, he showed his magic and put his toes on the ground. At that time, all the jewels in the world were on display.
Speaking of which, I think the world is upside down. I love jewelry and diamonds. Actually, they are all made of mud. What's delicious? Diamonds are the same as coal molecules, but they are arranged in different ways. A pottery bowl of the Xia Dynasty is priceless, but it is only made of mud. I bought a new bowl in the street, which is both beautiful and practical. So the good and the bad have been changed by idealism.
Here, the Buddha presents the other side of the world with the power of idealism, supernatural power and wisdom, such as the solemn Buddha, with boundless merits. After seeing this, all of you here are amazed that you have never seen such a scene. Not only that, everyone saw himself sitting on a lotus made of jewels.
"Buddha told Sharifutsu: Do you think the Buddha land is strict and clean? 」
The Buddha asked Sharifutsu, is this Buddhist land solemn and clean?
"Sharifutsu said: Only! Buddha! We turn a blind eye, smell but don't smell. Today, the Buddhist land is strict and clean. 」
Sharifutsu replied, alas! Yes, I have never seen or heard that the world is so beautiful. Now I see the solemn and clean Buddha land in front of me.
"The Buddha told Sharifutsu: My Buddha land will always be clean, because I am going to hunt, which shows that I am evil and unclean. 」
The Buddha told Sharifutsu a secret. The Buddha's land is often so clean, but in order to adapt to the relationship between the lower beings in this world, the material world presented is so unclean.
"Such as the heavens, * * * delicacies, has its blessing, beige is different. 」
Heaven and man don't eat with a bowl or a plate, but with a big container, but everyone feels different when they eat the same meal. Heaven and man with big blessings taste good, while those with small blessings taste bad. In fact, it's not just heaven and man, so are we. People with stomach trouble eat nothing right, but people without stomach trouble feel delicious. In those days, several villagers came to see me from far away in the countryside. I treated them with chocolate candy, knowing that they didn't think it was delicious at all. For example, once, my friend invited me to eat the best durian, which was terrible and my blessing was not enough. It was really hard to swallow. Some people can eat Korean ginseng as dried radish, but I can't make it up after eating a small piece. Therefore, Ford's bad people eat nothing delicious.
"If so! Sharifutsu！ If the heart is pure, you can see the solemn merit here. 」
The Buddha made a conclusion that if this person is pure in heart, he will naturally see the solemn merits of this Buddhist land.
This is a fact, not a theory. For example, those of you who really practice meditation will feel a bright light inside and outside your body when you meditate, which is invisible to your eyes. But sometimes you can see light when your eyes are inflamed. That's not true. At the right time, the inside and outside of the body are bright, the body has no feeling, no body, no delusion. It is absolutely indistinguishable, pure and solemn. This light is the self-light, which is constant day and night, in a dynamic and static light, that is, the body of rainbow light as Tantric said.
I don't usually tell you this, for fear that you will be nervous after listening to face-to-face interviews every day.
Now I'll tell you two principles, one is that there is no trace of distractions in psychology, and the other is that there is no physical feeling in physiology.
When you sit here and listen to the class, do you feel physically? Feel your hands, feet and body? Is it pain or happiness? It's not a good thing to see the light in this realm! So much for being able to ignore; Hearing me say that there is light inside and outside, I feel that I am shining. That's crazy light. Don't mess around! Many people see things in it, so they say they have eye contact, but they are actually crazy. Speaking of a bright realm inside and outside, no matter what the decision is, if the material world is pure and solemn. In this way, the weather of the practitioners themselves will also change, and their faces will look good and shine like rainbows. Many people meditate and glow consciously, but look at his sick dead face, which is dirtier than coal. These are facts, not theories. I see the way my classmates meditate, and none of their thoughts are clean. I can tell at a glance. You have a moment of pure thought, your air is different, and the way you walk is different. Don't think that meditation is meditation, and your mind is not clean. You've been doing it for nothing for a long time.
"When the Buddha's land is now strict and clean, Bao Ji is five hundred long, and Lao Zi, eighty-four thousand people, are born with bodhicitta. 」
When we were studying Buddhism, when we read this, everyone was thinking, does the Buddha press the ground with his right foot or his left foot? Do you use big toe or little toe? How does the Buddha sit? Why don't you put your hand on the ground? These are all words to stop. You are very harmonious and inseparable. After reading it, you will be relieved. You see, these poems are by no means accidental.
For example, the Shurangama Sutra says Ananda has a problem. The Buddha shines from above his head, and there are 900 incarnations of the Buddha in it. He passed a spell to teach Manjusri Bodhisattva to save Ananda. Why does it shine from the top of your head? Why is another occasion a shining from the heart? There are also flashes from the eyebrows. What is the reason? If Buddhist scriptures are myths and lies, there is no need to study and study Buddhism. If there is truth, why are the parts of light different? This is the spirit of learning Buddhism, and it is also the practice of practice, which is related to meditation and kung fu. Land, heart is heart, and stomach is the soil of five elements in physiology. These data are for you. You can learn Buddhism if you participate, or you are greedy, not Zen. This is my suggestion. You should take part in the Vimalakīrti Classic.
What is said here is that when the Buddha showed strict purity, the 500 aristocratic men led by Baoji were born on the spot. The 84,000 people present here are Mahayana. Initiation is the creative mind, which is the enlightened mind of Zen.
"Buddha is fascinated by God, so the world remains the same. There are 32,000 heavenly people who seek to be listened to, and they all know that things are impermanent, and they have to stay away from dirt and clean their eyes. 8,000 bhikkhus, not subject to all laws, missed the meaning. 」
Buddhism says that God knows everything, but generally speaking, people who study teaching methods interpret this word as sufficient and meaningful. It's all feet that talk about practicing kung fu, and only those who are truly proficient in kung fu can fly.
According to the scripture, the Buddha retracted his feet and rolled up his legs, and then everyone saw the world return to its original state. We must take part in the activities here again. Why did the Buddha wait until he was born at the age of 500 and 84,000 people became Mahayana before taking back his feet? At this time, 32,000 days and stingy people who care about each other and want to be heard finally understand that everything is impermanent and understand a little empty truth. They are afraid of the burden of the world and have a little peace of mind.
You see, Buddha can see that the realm of Mahayana root instrument has now passed. Lift your feet. Because there is nothing we can do about the root canal rider, we have to take back our feet. Well, it's your turn, and Hinayana proved the truth. Followed by 8,000 monks, "disobeying all laws and leaking all opinions", pay attention! Whether you are Tiantai, Tantric, Pure Land or Zen, those who can do these eight words are the real monks, monks, monks.
The troubles and diseases of all our sentient beings are rooted in our hearts and we can't get rid of them. If we untie the meaning knot, and the eighty-eight knots make nature clean, we can naturally reach the state of leaking everything, and we can be regarded as a monk's arhat, and we can get rid of all dharma, emptiness and everything.
For example, if a friend has today, he must introduce a professor who came back from a meeting in the United States to see me. He has been unable to sleep for a long time, and he is sick all over and becomes very pessimistic. I talked to him once, but I couldn't talk to him in depth. His fundamental problem is that he has too many feelings, which is caused by his idealism and affects his health.
Understand that the heart is the Tao, and this is the first step of Zen enlightenment. Take tantric Buddhism as an example. The first step of enlightenment is to open the heart. Our heart seems to be an eight-petal lotus. When we reach a certain concentration, we truly realize the Tao, and our hearts are opened, that is, we can open our hearts. That's a fact, there's no way to pretend that the opening of the heart pulse is a sign of the opening of the heart pulse.
A young man came to me to prove it, but the idea didn't work.
Practice realistically, don't deceive yourself, thinking that you will get home if you know one truth. When it comes to learning something, you must be open-minded and have an open pulse.
