Why do some people question the cultural relics unearthed in Ningta?
In Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province, there is a Chaoyang North Tower that can be traced back to the Sanyan era, and it has survived for more than 1000 years. Known as the "first tower outside the customs." Many rare treasures, such as the Golden Pagoda, the Silver Pagoda and the Seven Pagodas, have been unearthed in this tower, and what caused an uproar was two questioned relics. Are these two relics Buddha relics? How were they discovered?

In 1980s, the cultural relics department of Liaoning Province carried out maintenance and reinforcement work on Chaoyang North Tower. Unexpectedly, the North Tower Tiangong was accidentally discovered on the tower 12 floor. In order to keep secret, Chaoyang Public Security Bureau sent five policemen armed with live ammunition to guard the tower, and more than 20 archaeologists and construction workers ate and lived at the scene and were not allowed to contact with the outside world.

When the Heavenly Palace, which has been dusty for thousands of years, was opened, archaeologists first discovered the scattered ornaments of the seven pagodas, then cleared up tens of thousands of ornaments such as Buddha beads, and found a silver coffin with a wooden tire. When the expert opened the silver coffin, a relic pagoda came into view. When he opened the pagoda, he found an agate jar with a delicate and beautiful golden cover. When the golden lid was opened, two crystals appeared in the jar, one was milky white and the other was reddish brown. Mr. Gao Dong, an archaeologist at that time, was very excited and said, "Sardinia, Sakyamuni Sardinia!"

These two relics were once questioned by people. After 15 years of careful study, in 2003, these two relics unearthed from Chaoyang North Tower were finally officially identified as Buddha relics, which was the first time that the relics were identified by Chinese archaeologists. The rediscovery of these two Todoroki statues is another sensational discovery after Famen Temple in Shaanxi. In addition, the gold-plated silver tower, gold and silver tower and Persian glass bottle unearthed in the tower were identified as national treasures! There are generally three kinds of relics: white bones, black hair and red meat. Among the two relics found in Chaoyang North Tower, the ivory one is the Buddhist bone relic, and the reddish brown one is the rarest Buddhist blood relic.

Buddhists worship Buddhist relics. There are only seven relics unearthed in China, of which two are in Chaoyang, Liaoning, one is the North Tower of Chaoyang and the other is the South Tower of Chaoyang, where 18 pieces of polished relics were taken out, which is the only one clearly recorded in the world. Yuanbao Buddha is a burning Buddha, and Sakyamuni Buddha is a familiar Tathagata. There are three Buddhas in Buddhism, burning Buddha is the future Buddha, Tathagata is the present Buddha and Maitreya is the past Buddha.

Chaoyang North Tower is a "five generations under one roof" tower, which can be traced back to the Sanyan era, when it was the Helong Palace, and was called the "Four-character Buddha Map" in the Northern Wei Dynasty. It was the Brahma Temple Tower in Sui Dynasty and the Kaiyuan Temple Tower in Tang Dynasty. After rebuilding in Liao Dynasty, it was renamed Yanchang Temple Tower, which is now Chaoyang North Tower. The Chaoyang North Tower, which has survived for more than 1000 years, is a historical book about pagoda architecture in past dynasties.
