1, Valley of the Kings
The Valley of the Kings is the main burial area of pharaohs and nobles in the new dynasty from ancient Egypt 18 to the 20th dynasty (about BC 1539 to BC 1075). Now 62 mausoleums have been developed. Located on the west bank of the Nile, 7 kilometers from the shore, it can be reached from the steep mountain road at the northern end of Thebes Acropolis.
2. Ancient Castle
This castle was built in 1 176 for Saladin, king of Ayub dynasty, in order to protect Cairo from the crusaders. Muhammad Ali Mosque was built in this city. There is an Egyptian military museum in the ancient castle, which displays the weapons and equipment, clothing, famous war cases, fortifications, objects, imitations, models and pictures of the Egyptian army in various historical periods.
3. Summer Palace
The Summer Palace, Montasa Palace, is located in the east of the city, covering an area of 155.4 hectares and surrounded by forests. This is a unique garden. 1952 used to be a royal summer resort, but now the seaside is open to tourists and anglers. There is King Farouk's Palace (now the Egyptian State Guesthouse) in the park.
4. Kataba Castle
Kataba Castle, formerly known as Alexander Lighthouse, is one of the seven wonders of the world. The lighthouse was built in 280 BC, and the tower is about 135 meters high. After several earthquakes, it was completely destroyed on 1435. 1480, a castle was built on the original site with its stones, named after King Kataba.
5. Treasure Hall
The Treasure Hall was originally the residence of the ancient Princess Fatmeh, and in 1986, it was changed to the treasure hall of Muhammad Ali dynasty, displaying crowns and jewels.
