Classification of diamond clarity grades

According to the GIA diamond classification standard of the United States, the diamond clarity can be divided into FL, IF, VVS 1, VVS2, VS 1, VS2, SI 1, SI2, I 1, I2 and I3 from high to low.

FL is flawless. Under the observation of ten times magnification, no defects can be seen inside and outside the drill bit. If there are no flaws inside, it means that there are no flaws inside the diamond, but there are tiny flaws outside.

VVS has a very slight defect. Under the observation of ten times magnification, there are defects inside and outside the diamond that are difficult to test.

SI 1 is slightly flawed, and some flaws can be seen both inside and outside the diamond under ten times magnification observation.

SI2 micro-flaws, under the observation of ten times magnification, it is easy to see the internal or external flaws of the diamond, and some can even be seen directly with the naked eye.

I 1 is defective, and you can directly see the internal and external defects of the diamond with the naked eye.

I2 is flawed, so we can directly see the flaws inside and outside the diamond with naked eyes, and the inclusions account for a quarter of the diamond, which affects the brightness of the diamond.

I3 is flawed, and the naked eye can directly see that there are many obvious flaws inside and outside the diamond.

I 1-I3 (inclusion/inclusion)-The defects of this grade of diamond are easy to be observed by naked eyes, which has a great influence on the brilliance of the diamond and is not recommended.

Diamond color grade

The colors of diamonds range from D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X Y Z. Generally, the colors of diamonds are acceptable as long as they are above H color.

D grade: the highest grade in diamonds, pure and colorless, flawless, the rarest existence in diamonds, with strong rarity.

E-class: high-quality diamonds, colorless. Ordinary people can't see color from them. Only a few jewelry experts can distinguish colors.

F-grade: a high-quality diamond slightly lower than E-grade. Unless you are a jewelry expert, it is difficult to detect its color.

G~H grade: although it is close to colorless, compared with colorless high-quality diamonds, there is a slight yellowish layer inside.

Grade I ~J: It is still close to colorless, but it is slightly yellow inside, which is valuable.

K~M grade: most people can see the color clearly, and its own color is slightly dim, with low grade and poor fire color and luster.
