Types of gems
Natural gemstones refer to natural, beautiful, durable and rare mineral single crystals or double crystals that can be processed into decorations. Such as rubies, sapphires and emeralds. Natural jade refers to the mineral aggregate produced in nature, which is beautiful, durable, rare and has technological value, and a few are amorphous, such as jadeite, nephrite and agate.
Synthetic gemstones refer to crystalline or amorphous materials made entirely or partially by human beings, and have known counterparts in nature. Their physical properties, chemical composition and crystal structure are basically the same as the corresponding natural jewelry and jade. Such as synthetic ruby, synthetic sapphire, synthetic emerald, synthetic spinel, etc.
Artificial gem refers to an artificial crystal or amorphous body, and there is no known counterpart in nature. Spliced gems refer to jewels and jade that are made of two or more materials by hand, giving people an overall impression. Like assembling opals. Recycled gems refer to jewels and jade that are fused or pressed into an overall appearance by artificial means.
