Baoshan College, formerly known as Baoshan Teachers College, was founded in 1978. It is one of the first four normal universities in Yunnan Province. In April 2009, it was upgraded to an undergraduate college with the approval of the Ministry of Education, and was organized by the People's Government of Yunnan Province. By the end of June, 20 16 and 1 year, the school occupied an area of 1000 mu with a building area of 270,000 square meters. There are 14 secondary colleges (departments) such as College of Arts, College of Foreign Languages, College of Art, College of Resources and Environment, College of Information, school of economics and management, and Jewelry College, with 30 undergraduate majors and more than 30 majors, and more than 8,600 full-time students (including 34 international students). There are more than 700 faculty members, including 45 professors, 37 associate professors/kloc-0, and 237 doctoral and master students.
