Archaeologists from Shaanxi Institute of Archaeology found that the east, north and west gates of Gan Mausoleum have the same structure, which are composed of a pair of three exits, a pair of pillars and a hall-like gate. Quetai is a rammed earth platform, surrounded by bricks, and a large number of tiles accumulated around it indicate that Quetai was originally built with Quelou. Palace-style gate has rammed earth abutment, surrounded by bricks, and both sides are connected with the cemetery wall.

In addition, archaeologists also cleaned up the site of the North Gate, and unearthed many stone carvings, such as the remnant stone horse, Shi Hu, stone lion and stone pedestal. Among them, Shi Hu's discovery provides new information for re-understanding the stone carving combination outside the north gate of Tang Mausoleum. This is the first time to basically understand the layout of the Summer Palace site. Ganling Summer Palace evolved from the bedroom in front of the mausoleum. When Emperor Taizong Li Shimin buried Zhaoling, it was called the bedroom. Later, because of the fire, it was called Xiagong.

The investigation shows that the site of Xiagong in Ganling is huge, with two rammed walls inside and outside. The plane of the external wall is square, and the four sides are about 380 meters long. At the same time, between the inner city and the inner city, many rammed earth remains of buildings were found, which provided first-hand materials for understanding the cemetery system of tombs in the Tang Dynasty.

Shi Xingbang, honorary director of Shaanxi Institute of Archaeology, said that it can be inferred that at least 70% of the funerary objects in the tomb should be filled with the most valuable treasures of the Tang Dynasty. When Tang Gaozong and Wu Zetian were alive, it was the most prosperous period in the Tang Dynasty. When Tang Gaozong was buried, the value of funerary objects accounted for13 of the national finance. More than 20 years later, Wu Zetian died, and the national gold and silver jewelry 1/3 was brought into Ganling. The cost is huge and the burial is rich.

In addition, it is clearly recorded in the history books that when Tang Gaozong died, he deliberately left a suicide note and buried all his favorite calligraphy and painting. Many experts also speculate that the Preface to Lanting written by Wang Xizhi, a top national treasure, is probably hidden in Ganling.

Some cultural relics workers estimate that there are at least 500 tons of precious cultural relics in Ganling.

Li Jin is the only one of 17 imperial heroes buried in Ganling. His tomb is located about 200 meters southeast of Hanjiabao village in Jing 'anling town, and there is a cone-shaped mound about 6 meters high on the ground. 1in the spring of 972, the then Shaanxi Provincial Cultural Management Association and the former Ganling Cultural Management Institute excavated and cleaned this tomb. The underground part of the tomb consists of an inclined mound, a patio, a small niche, a tunnel and a tomb, with a total length of 46.3 meters and more than 300 pieces of various cultural relics unearthed.

The giant ring of Wu Zetian's tomb is full of mystery.

After the news that Ganling discovered more than 10 giant mysterious rings was disclosed by the media, it aroused great concern from all walks of life, and many readers called the hotline to guess the purpose of the mysterious rings. 65438+February 2 1 day, the reporter made a special trip to interview relevant experts and rushed to the Ganling site where the ring relics were found to explore.

The crops on the mysterious ring are growing well.

65438+February 2 1 At 4 o'clock in the afternoon, the reporter drove to the scene where a giant ring was found near Ganling. Liu Xiangyang, director of the business department of Ganling Museum, pointed to the tomb of Li Jinxing, which is about 6 meters high, and told reporters that the newly discovered circle with a diameter of about 1 10 meters is the tomb. On the west side of the tomb, a field dirt road passes through the ring. On the cross section of a field on the east side of the tomb, there is a scouring ditch about 1 m long and 2 m wide. The small scour ditch on this cross section is located on the ring.

Now there are basically no ring traces on the ground. Liu Xiangyang said, it is very interesting that after every heavy rain, you will find that the color of the soil around the tree rings is much darker than that around it. Even the company commander's crops on the ground are different. Crops growing on annual rings are more flourishing than other crops. Based on this, it is inferred that the soil around the tree rings is extremely loose and suitable for plant growth, which should be a historical relic left by human activities.

The conjecture of the mysterious ring

In the past few days, readers have called our hotline to make bold guesses about the function of Ganling Giant Ring, hoping that experts can solve this mystery as soon as possible.

The scope of the mausoleum said: In fact, these giant rings are nothing mysterious, just a scope of the mausoleum. Ms. Liu, who lives in Baqiao District, has many supporters. She believes that every tomb buried with him in Ganling, except the Mausoleum, will delimit a range around it in order to protect the Mausoleum.

Military Defense Theory: Li Jinxing, Duke of Tang Yan, was a brave and powerful military commander before his death. During the reign of Wu Zetian, Li Jin made outstanding contributions to national security and won the appreciation and trust of Emperor Ze. According to this idea, then the ring around the mausoleum must be a military defense facility.

Stars said: The ancients attached great importance to the relationship between astronomical phenomena and human activities. The ancients often thought that people in reality were the embodiment of various constellations in the vast space. According to the concept of regarding death as life, after their death, the ancients will also refer to their own position in real life and determine the location of tombs according to the orientation of astronomical phenomena and stars. So the giant ring around the tomb should be a kind of star in the sky.

Totem says: The largest giant ring center is the tomb of Li Jinxing, Duke of Tang Yan, and Li Jinxing himself is a descendant of H, an ancient nation. Has that mysterious nation left some cultural marks, and this giant ring may be the totem of H?

Faith says: I think this great ring should be a kind of faith. Liu Xiangyang, director of the business department of Ganling Museum, said that Li Jinxing was a general born in a minority nationality in the Tang Dynasty. He and his father were both officials of the Tang Dynasty and were highly valued by Wu Zetian. According to the available information, Li Jinxing's tomb is the only minority general buried with Gan Ling. Therefore, it is worth studying whether this circular structure is related to their national beliefs at that time.

Geological phenomenon: Mr. Wang Lao, who has been engaged in geological work in Angola for a long time, revealed that he worked in the geological research department of our province before his retirement. In the 1980s, when solving the doubts about these satellite photos, geological researchers accidentally discovered many geological structures with ring structures, including a ring centered on Ganling, with a diameter of 5 kilometers according to the illustrated scale. Judging from satellite photos and aerial photos, this kind of large and small ring structure does exist in Ganling area. Geological researchers have not found similar ring structures near other tombs in satellite photos. These newly discovered tree rings in Ganling area should be related to geological movements and have little to do with the mausoleum system.

In addition, some readers believe that the ring is a relic left by aliens and the base address of buildings around the tomb. , and have different opinions.

The mysterious ring may be an artificial trench.

Archaeologists have passed through the circular land in aerial photos dozens of times before, but they have not found the circular land. Qin Jianming, director of the Science and Technology Archaeological Office of Xi Cultural Relics Protection and Restoration Center, said that after repeated search and analysis of a group of original aerial photographs of Ganling, after confirming the existence of giant tree rings, archaeologists conducted another field trip and still found no abnormality on the surface.

Based on years of archaeological experience, researcher Qin Jianming thinks that these tree rings may be artificially dug trenches. Due to the age, these rings were buried deep underground and became submerged ditches. Although the trench has been filled, the filled soil is different from the surrounding soil in temperature, humidity and density. Although it can't be distinguished by the naked eye, it has been specially processed by imaging experts, so the original aerial photo of Ganling shows the circular pattern of the trench.

There are no cultural relics in the ring ditch.

More than 10 tree rings discovered this time are all around Ganling. In the future archaeological work, when excavating these circular trenches, will a number of important cultural relics be found? In this regard, researcher Qin Jianming said: These trenches may be ancient fortifications, or they may represent the stars in the sky, but it is basically certain that cultural relics will not be buried in these trenches.

These trenches can't bury cultural relics, just some ancient relics. What's the point of digging these trenches? Qin Jianming said that the archaeological research of these trenches will be of great value: first, the emergence of these trenches provides new research topics and new archaeological types for archaeological research;

Secondly, among the discovered rings, there is the largest ring with a diameter of about 1 10 m and a ring width of about 3 m. In addition, the center of this ring is the tomb of Li Jinxing, the prince of the Tang Dynasty, which is one of the tombs buried with Gan Ling. This shows that these tree rings are probably part of Ganling site, which is of great significance to enrich the archaeological content and cultural connotation of Ganling site.

Qin Jianming said that in the next step, professionals from archaeology, geology and other departments will be organized to investigate the newly discovered 10 tree rings. If it is determined that these tree rings are all around the buried tomb of Ganling, it will provide important clues for solving the mystery of tree rings.
