Gourd is an independent natural village. Its ancestors moved here from Meixian County in the Qing Dynasty, and it was named after its shape like a gourd. Small gourd is located in the west of Tiandong Township, covering an area of 6.5 square kilometers, about 6 kilometers away from the township government. The settlement is trapezoidal and separated by two waters. Most of the buildings are stone and civil bungalows. To the east of the village entrance, a small stream flows eastward for 4 kilometers, with a riverbed width of 10 meter. Rich in hydraulic resources, the riverbed is 4 kilometers wide to the east, 10 meter.

In February 2006, there were 355 people in this village. Cultivated land 1 10 mu, the main crops are rice, sweet potatoes and peanuts, and the mountainous area is 8 180 mu, mainly including Chinese fir, pine and cypress, bamboo, tea and other trees.

Xiaohulu Village is surrounded by mountains, with continuous ups and downs, and has always been dominated by sub-forestry. It is a remote canyon area with inconvenient transportation. The villagers have the traditional custom of cutting wood and singing folk songs all year round.

Xiaohulu village belongs to the revolutionary old Soviet area. From 1929 to 1930, Gu Dacun, Lu Dumao and others organized the Red Guards in this area and created a revolutionary place. From 1947 to 1949, there are armed groups in this area. Xiaohulu Village has a primary school, 3 classes, 2 teaching staff and 32 students.

Xiaohulu Village is adjacent to Dahulu Village, Tiandong Village, Shi Tian Village, Huangtan Village, Wuquan Village, Qifeng Village, Hengyang Village, Xinxikeng Village, Baimangzhou Village, Fengshuyuan Village, Linping Village, Tian Yao Village, Guanzhu cun Village and Baishui Village.

2065438+On September 24th, 2009, Xiaohulu Village was included in the list of "Demonstration Villages (Communities) of Democracy and Rule of Law" established in Guangdong Province in 2065438+2008.

There are some tourist attractions near Xiaohulu Village, such as Baishui Rock, Korean Revolutionary Martyrs Monument, Longhu Ancient Village, Doubletree by Yougu Tourist Area, Phoenix Tianchi and so on. There are some special dishes, such as strip rolls, Phoenix Dan Cong, Chaoshan tribute, Chaoshan olive vegetables and Dawu clay sculpture.
