There are more than 4,000 merchants in the market, with nearly 10,000 merchants, 60% of whom come from 28 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions outside Beijing, involving more than a dozen ethnic groups such as Han, Hui, Manchu, Miao, Dong, Uygur, Mongolia and North Korea. The current market was formed in 1992, and gradually developed with the rise and activity of folk antique art trade. Now it has become a large antique art market that spreads folk culture.
