1. The original stone just unearthed is generally covered with dirt, especially the deep stone lines are covered with dirt, and many of them are closely attached to the original stone. If it is removed by brute force, it will hurt the stone and even destroy its original shape.
2. The original stone should be soaked in a bucket for two or three days before treatment, so that the floating soil can be fully dissolved, and the original stone can absorb enough water to loosen the attachment on the surface of the original stone.
3. After the original stone is completely soaked, the original stone is washed with water with a steel brush, and the work of removing the floating soil is initially completed. It is suggested to prepare several steel brushes with different specifications. When cleaning different stone surfaces, cracks and textures, a proper brush surface will get twice the result with half the effort.
4. After removing the floating soil with a steel brush, use a manual grinder/dental grinder for more detailed polishing. The specifications of the grinding head should be from coarse to fine. For the stone with many textures, the impurities in the texture should be polished with a patient fine grinder to ensure the cleanliness and smoothness of the stone surface.
This step is the most patient. Without the obvious treatment effect when removing the aggradation, the sense of accomplishment will be much lower, but this step is the key step to determine the final treatment effect of the stone, and you must not be impatient and lazy.
5. After grinding with a grinder, according to the depth of grinding marks on the stone surface, sandpaper of 600 mesh to 2000 mesh is selected in turn for final fine grinding.
6. The polished stone surface should be very smooth, and there will be no unevenness to the touch, and there will be no obvious scratches to the light. At this time, grinding heads, such as bristle wheels and wool wheels, can be used instead of grinding heads to carry out the final process, polishing and waxing. The wax can be jade polishing paste, car polishing wax, beeswax, etc.
7. Finally, after polishing, the stone surface will have jade luster and reflective effect.
