Allen Harper ~ jon cryer plays a chiropractor, Charlie's younger brother, and a responsible and obedient husband, but his whiny personality and sticky temper remind people of Tang Priest. He has been trying to make up with his wife, but since his wife Judith divorced, he lost all his property and had to take his son Jack, who was still in elementary school, to take refuge in his brother Charlie's house, breaking Charlie's happy single life. Jon cryer, who played this role, won the Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2009 for his outstanding performance in this role. Jack Harper Angus T. Jones is a cute little fat guy. Although young, but a little lewd, can eat anything. His naive personality makes him the highlight of the play, as good as the two adult male protagonists.

Evelyn Harper ~ Holland Taylor, a real estate agent, plays two narcissistic and vicious devil mothers, casting a shadow over women. Judith Harper Marin Hinkle plays Allen's neurotic ex-wife, who claims to be a lesbian in order to divorce Allen.

Ross melanie lynskey plays Charlie's neighbor and ex-girlfriend. She loves Charlie deeply, but she is a little crazy. Every time in the play, she would climb to Charlie's balcony.

Conchata Ferrell plays a fierce housekeeper who rides on Charlie's neck.
