Is South Africa's customs clearance strict?
Customs clearance in South Africa is very strict. Customs clearance means customs clearance, which refers to the procedures that should be performed in accordance with various laws, regulations and provisions when importing, exporting or transferring goods into or out of a country's customs territory. The goods can only be released and the owner or declarer can pick up the goods after the customs clearance fulfills various obligations and goes through the formalities of customs declaration, inspection, tax payment and release.

Customs clearance requirements

The customs in this country don't accept pairs of finished shoes, so they need to be punched or cut. All free freight products must declare the freight value according to the above standards. All imported products are samples, which are declared as samples for shipment and have commercial value. If the declared sample is found, but the product has commercial value, it will result in fines and high tariffs.

The number of samples of the same model shipped in the same batch shall not exceed 5. Each sample must be declared separately according to the correct customs value. All high-value jewelry, hair accessories, wigs or products weighing more than 50kg need to be arranged for formal customs clearance and cannot be imported through simple procedures.
