Colonel Schulto received a note. He was horrified to see the icon on the note and claimed to have seen a man with only one leg. He told his two sons that he hid the Indian jewels he got in the secret room of his attic, hoping to return one of them to his friend's daughter, Miss Mostain. The two sons went to look for jewels, but the father was scared to death in bed.
Miss Morstan went to the door to find Holmes, told her that someone had given her expensive jewels and left an anonymous letter asking to meet. Holmes and Watson also went together. It turned out that Schulto's youngest son gave the most precious Damovol jewels to Miss Mostain according to his father's wishes. His father Mostan and Colonel Schulto joined a jewelry department together. The four returned to Schulto's home, only to find that Schulto's eldest son died in a locked room, next to a note with "four signatures" and a box full of jewels missing. Holmes sent Schulto's youngest son to report the case, and Watson and himself scouted the scene and reached a preliminary judgment. When the police arrived, Schulto's youngest son was detained as a suspect, but he was soon released.
After mastering sufficient facts, Holmes put forward his own hypothesis about the case. He traced the whereabouts of the one-legged man and concluded that he must have a small but loyal friend. On the night when they learned that they were about to abscond, they reappeared at the home of Schulto's youngest son, who was killed. The invited Miss Mostein survived. Holmes knew that the murderer wanted the most precious Damovol jewels, but they didn't expect that Miss Morstan had given them to Holmes for safekeeping. With the cooperation of the police, the one-legged man was arrested. He was originally one of the four people who robbed jewelry. After he went to prison, he bribed the jailers at that time, Schulto and Mostan, and decided to share the jewels equally. However, Schulto's attempt to keep it for himself aroused the revenge of the only one-legged man who survived.
Wonderful point of view:
1983 British detective film. Based on Conan Doyle's novel of the same name, the story of the famous Sherlock Holmes detective novel Four Signs is reproduced. This story is full of suspense and excitement. The wisdom and courage of Sherlock Holmes are more prominent in the foggy and suspicious environment. People who love Sherlock Holmes should not miss it.
