Bali, located in Indonesia, is a tourist attraction with extremely beautiful natural environment. The climate here is suitable, the air is fresh, the tourism industry is developed, and the infrastructure and service projects are all points that tourists are satisfied with. The ecological environment here is also world-class, and all kinds of delicious food and beautiful women gather. The following are some tips and precautions for free travel in Bali on 20 18.

This year, I had the opportunity to visit Bali, Indonesia, which is located at the junction of the South Pacific and the Indian Ocean. From Beijing, take a large Boeing passenger plane with 4 or 500 passengers, all the way south, and reach the destination of Bali, Indonesia in more than 7 hours.

It was already midnight when we got off the plane. We found that the layout of airport passages, turntables for passengers to pick up their luggage and other facilities were basically the same as those in China. The only difference is that the advertising words with beautiful pictures on the wall are basically foreign languages that you can't understand. Only one small restaurant has a Chinese signboard on the top of the door.

I went through a simple customs clearance procedure at the airport (that is, I queued at the counter and asked the staff to stamp my passport).

The dark-skinned office girl, with a kind attitude, smiled and signaled that the people in the queue were more than one meter away from the people who were going through the formalities.

After completing the formalities, when the motorcade left the airport, there were already two buses waiting there.

We received a stout man in his thirties who spoke nonstandard Mandarin.

First of all, he introduced us to the schedule of tonight's activities:

First of all, everyone lined up to get on the bus, accepted the flowers from the young lady at the bus gate, and then went back to the hotel to stay. There are several girls in front of the car who look like junior high school students, and there are many flower strings strung together with ropes on their arms.

They hung such a bunch of flowers around each guest's neck. The flowers on it are similar to Malanhua, but they have a strong fragrance. The guide who received us said that this is Indonesia's national flower plumeria.

After getting on the bus, I was surprised to find that the driving position was on the right side of the car, which was just the opposite of our domestic car. People in the group said that people drive around, which is just the opposite of driving around in China.

On the way to the hotel by bus, the tour guide briefly introduced the basic situation of himself and Bali: his ancestral home is Hainan, China, and he is the third generation Indonesian. His name is Xu Xinwei, and he said he could be called awei.

Indonesia is a country composed of thousands of islands, with more than16,000 islands, of which more than 6,000 are uninhabited. Bali is the most dazzling island in Indonesia. It is shaped like a chicken.

The island is located 8 degrees south of the Indian Ocean equator and east of Java Island, with a width of 140 km from east to west and a distance of 80 km from north to south, with a total area of 5,620 square kilometers. With a population of more than 4 million, it is a world-famous tourist island and one of the 33 first-class administrative regions in Indonesia.

Bali is mostly mountainous, with mountainous terrain in the east and low in the west. The highest mountain on the island is Mount Agung at an altitude of 3 142 meters. Indonesia is an Islamic country, but Bali is the only region in Indonesia that believes in Hinduism.

80% people believe in Hinduism.

The main languages are Indonesian and English.

Indonesian currency is rupee, and the ratio with RMB is 1800: 1, that is, 1 yuan can be converted into 1800 rupees.

Awei took a lot of rupees with him, saying that anyone who wanted to change it would change it with him immediately.

So most of us changed the amount of rupees, and I also changed the amount of 400 RMB to 720,000 rupees.

The bus arrived at the hotel, and a friend and I were arranged in a family. Hotel facilities are basically the same as those in China, except that the socket of power socket is not a standard with us, and the hole spacing is much wider than that in China. Fortunately, there was a base of the electric kettle seat at that time, and the slot could just be inserted into the plug of the charger.

After the mobile phone was charged, I quickly went to bed and fell asleep.

After dawn, I was woken up by the leader. Last night, following awei's suggestion, I left a tip of 20,000 rupees for the hotel waiter, and then went to the restaurant for a buffet.

After dinner, I found two cars and a tour guide waiting at the door. Each of us was asked to sit in every car according to last night's seat, and the other car was a female tour guide.

In the car, awei went on to introduce: Bali has four characteristics: "The buildings are short, the roads are narrow, and the streets are full of flowers and offerings. Take seven turns and eight bends. " Yes, there are no buildings with more than five floors here, and the road is really narrow.

I admire the driver's skill. On the road where he hardly misses, he drives at a steady average speed, which is not very slow.

Bali Tanah Lot

In this way, after breakfast every day, we set off by car and went to various scenic spots according to the expected arrangement of the group travel agency. What we saw during this period is briefly as follows.

Notes on Bali Free Travel Raiders

I. Faith

According to awei, bird watchers in Bali spend more than 20% of their income every year to worship the gods. Indeed, we can see that there are sculpture shrines of different sizes in front of many houses on the street, with unknown gods inside.

The first thing a woman does every morning is to go out and offer sacrifices to God. Those women in strange clothes hold offerings such as fruits and flowers, burn incense and bow.

They don't need a censer to burn incense, they just need to put the lit incense horizontally, and the whole process takes only three to five minutes.

Some people don't have a shrine in front of their door, so they put it on the street. Then, every day there are cleaners to clean flowers and sacrifices.

In the squares of some scenic spots, from time to time, you can see a group of men and women wearing white hats sitting on the ground, receiving the blessing of water from an old man with a beard. This may be an Islamic prayer ceremony.

A respected idol.

The belief there is not only manifested in the daily sacrifices of various families, but also in the complicated sacrifices on the beach. The next day we changed hotels and went to a seaside resort hotel. Every afternoon, people there will level the footprints of tourists with wooden harrows on the beach, and then build a simple sacrificial shed. There are bright bouquets on the four legs of the shed, tables and stools in the shed, as if inviting people to dinner, as well as offerings, tableware and flowers. Was put on the table. Petals were evenly scattered on the beach around the shed, and then people walked away carefully for the gods to enjoy. Two hours later, someone went to collect these offerings.

Second, sculpture.

There are various unknown statues and sculptures in Bali. There are beautifully carved statues in front of hotels, scenic spots, courtyards and other places. Some people have the body of a beast, some people have the head of a beast, some people have guards with green faces and fangs, and some people have fairies with kind eyes and gorgeous clothes, with different postures and images. Most of these sculptures have green umbrellas erected behind them to cover their heads, or wear colorful robes, and it seems that most of them have only recently been replaced with new ones, which shows the local people's awe of these statues.

A statue with an umbrella cover behind it.

Three. architecture

There are many well-preserved ancient buildings in Bali, and the typical one is Prisarene, which was built in16th century. There is no admission fee for visiting the Forbidden City, but each visitor needs to spend ten yuan to rent something called a box. In fact, it is a flower apron dragged to the feet, which means covering the lower body and blaspheming the gods with rabbits. Compared with the ticket price of domestic scenic spots, it is still very cheap.

The palace is not big, and the locals call it Baibu Palace (in fact, there are 100 steps). But the architectural layout inside is neat and rigorous, especially the beautifully carved floral ornaments, which show you the amazing craftsmanship of the residents in the southern hemisphere 500 years ago.

Palace buildings basically have steep tops. Tie an iron hoop on your head and an umbrella palm skin under it. It is said that this kind of thing can withstand years of wind and rain. Some less important pavilions are covered with straw.

The gates of all the ancient buildings in Bali have a unique style:

It is like a tower-shaped building, beautifully carved and with different styles. Saw it longitudinally from the center line, and then separate the sawed two halves to both sides. The missing blank is

This style vividly shows the philosophical thought of unity of opposites, and also reflects the profound understanding of the local ancients on the life of heaven and earth.

There are exquisite carved side doors.

Four. highway

Because it is an island country, it is often necessary to take a cross-sea bridge from one scenic spot to another. Some bridges are tens of kilometers long, almost all of which are expressways. Strangely, there is a motorcycle lane on the side of the expressway, and motorcycles are seen flying on it. The tour guide said that a highway we crossed the sea was designed and built by our domestic engineers a few years ago.

Fifth, the beach.

There is a famous beach in Bali called Kimbalan Beach. The beach there is very gentle, 100 meter beach can be submerged or exposed at low tide. When facing the sea in the evening, you can just see the spectacular scene of the sun slowly entering the sea. There are many seafood restaurants nearby. From the door of each restaurant are rows of tables facing the sea, tens of meters long, with stools on both sides. These are all booked by various tour groups, one in a row. In the evening, people came to the seaside one after another, found their own team's row table and sat face to face on both sides of the table. The waiter served delicious seafood such as crabs and fish, various cut fruit bowls and beer. One for each person. We enjoyed the sunset at sea and tasted delicious food. From time to time, there is a sea breeze blowing, which feels very clean and refreshing. It seems to have the feeling of cleaning up dirt and dust when splashed on the body. During this period, a dozen male and female bands suddenly appeared at the seaside, playing various musical instruments such as pipa and singing incomprehensible lyrics with loud voices. They sang for more than five minutes, and after winning applause, they went to another place not far away to sing, which was also very lively and interesting.

When the sun entered the sea, it was just dark and a star appeared in the distant sky. Strangely, the stars gradually lit up and quickly turned and walked in the other direction. Then, a star appeared in the distance, its brightness changed, and its trajectory was exactly the same as before. The stars that have been appearing like this are originally planes from all over the world. A plane lands every six minutes in Bali all year round. You can imagine the busy scene of its airport.

Six. Unique customs

I read in the newspaper a few years ago that Indonesia has a unique custom of genital worship. This time I saw it with my own eyes. Whether it is a street stall or a supermarket, there are realistic male genitalia carved and sold in piles. The small ones are life-size, and the big ones are more than one meter. They are all carved from fine wood and are expensive.

Seven. Characteristic product

Indonesia's specialty is mainly three kinds of products: one is latex products, because rubber trees are widely planted there, so latex products have become a major specialty. We went to a latex shop. Among them, latex mattress, pillow, backrest and infant are all available. There is a chart of the whole process of latex production hanging on the wall.

The other is coffee. Indonesia is rich in coffee. I went to a coffee shop this time, and the clerk enthusiastically explained it in detail. Of course, the purpose is for you to buy her coffee. After listening to their explanations, I know that coffee is different from male coffee, and female coffee is more precious.

The other is jewelry. We know that pearls are mainly produced by mussels in the ocean. Indonesia is such a maritime island country, so it produces all kinds of jewels, the most precious of which is Nanyang Golden Pearl. It is said that a bead like this is worth tens of thousands of dollars, and the Indonesian president often gives it as a national gift to the wives of foreign leaders. I bought a necklace and bracelet for my family, which is also a kind of expensive jewelry. This is a souvenir of this trip.

Eight. attract

Bali is an ideal place for celebrities to take wedding photos, so its scenery is really beautiful.

There are many couples in our team. They brought their own wedding dresses and specially arranged to take wedding photos for them all morning. This morning, my friend and I slept in a hotel.

Quiet seaside hotel

Clear blue sea water, clear white sand beach, tall and straight coconut trees, dense green and lush banana forest.

Solemn buildings, elegant and gorgeous houses. Unique customs, tourists wear different clothes, there is no winter and summer climate.

Recreational facilities such as surfing at sea and skydiving constitute a beautiful landscape painting in Bali, attracting tourists from all over the world.

Nine, the end

At the end of the sixth day's trip, I found a duty-free shop at the airport with duty-free goods for foreigners.

There are several kinds of domestic cigarettes on the shelves, and the prices are much cheaper than those in China. Each person is limited to two. My friend immediately bought four pairs of ashima cigarettes (I don't smoke, so I asked him to buy mine).

Precautions:

1. visa, visa-free in Bali.

From June 201May 12, Indonesia changed the original landing visa policy into a visa-free policy for China citizens. China tourists can enter the airport with their passports (valid for more than 6 months), which avoids the cumbersome and crowded visa processing and charging.

"The official website of the Indonesian Cabinet Secretariat released:

From June 20 18 15, Bali implemented visa-free policy for citizens of 45 countries and regions including China (Chinese mainland, Hongkong and Macau).

China citizens who continue to visit third countries for reasons such as government affairs, education, social culture, tourism, business, visiting relatives and journalists can enter the country visa-free from Jakarta, Bali, Medan, Surabaya, Batam, Sri Tan Bin, Segubang, Batam Center and Tanjung Uban. The duration of stay is 30 days, which cannot be extended or changed to other visas. "

2. Pay special attention to the entrance: airport tips and green frames.

When we entered Bali, the tour guide told us about customs tipping: because of the government's requirements, tourists who entered the country at the beginning of the month usually tip now. We don't need to tip the customs at the beginning of the month, but we should pay attention to check whether the passport is covered with a green box. If not, it will be regarded as illegal immigration, which is very serious, so please remember to check it just in case!

3. luggage preparation items: what items do you need to bring to Bali?

When I received the notice of joining the League, I mentioned that Bali hotels generally do not provide toothpaste, toothbrush, towel and slippers. I suggest you prepare yourself mentally. We stayed in a 4-star hotel in Kuta (it is said that it is equivalent to an international 3-star hotel), and later found that there are some general toothpaste, toothbrush, shower gel and hand sanitizer in the hotel, but towels are big towels, so it is recommended to bring your own travel clothes and towels.

For slippers, it is recommended to have one pair indoors and one pair outdoors, because of the beach, swimming and taking a boat. It's inevitable on the road.

Clothes, the hotel we stayed in didn't have a balcony to dry clothes, so we could only hang them indoors. It is not convenient to turn up the air conditioner to dry clothes. It is recommended to prepare a coat every day in summer to avoid changing clothes. Shorts are essential, long skirts are recommended for taking beautiful photos, and then swimsuits.

If you change the plug, the plug in our hotel can be used directly without changing the plug. If not, the tour guide said that you can borrow it at the front desk, and the deposit is rupees. 50,000. If you have a German standard plug, you can also bring your own.

Sun protection, bring enough sun protection index. The sunshine in Bali is really fierce, and it will be dark when it comes back.

It is necessary to have an umbrella to keep out the rain. 65438+February, rainy season, we went to Bali. When it rains, the sunshine on the beach is very fierce. It is much more comfortable to open an umbrella if you are afraid of the sun.

Shading is also necessary! When I arrived in Bali, I gave each of us a straw hat, but it was windy there and the size might not be appropriate, so I suggested buying a nice big hat!

Thermos, tap water in Bali is desalinated and not suitable for drinking. So in addition to the 1 bottle of bottled water provided by the hotel every day, you need to buy it yourself. Bring a thermos bottle and you can get boiled water in the restaurant. Remember to bring boiled water if you want to drink it. Very easy to use!

4. Cash: How much cash should I bring to Bali? Do I need to change money first?

A common currency, or Indonesian rupiah, is also the most convenient. Renminbi is basically unacceptable, and the dollar is said to be universal, but no one in our business uses it. I don't know the details.

The trip didn't cost much. General cash is spent in convenience stores, taxis, tips, restaurants, stalls and Ubud markets. Generally, these small places accept the local currency Indonesian rupiah. The consumption of restaurants is generally above 20 RMB.

For cash, it is recommended to bring 500- 1000 RMB (depending on personal consumption), VISA and UnionPay cards.

Since our trip will be free for about 2 days and we won't eat, there are fewer places to spend cash. The tour guide suggested that we exchange 500 RMB rupees for two people. If it is not enough, you can exchange with the local tour guide. If there is a local tour guide, it is recommended to exchange less money, because if you want to exchange money with the tour guide, you can only exchange RMB for 100 or 100. If it is lower than 100, it can only be exchanged with other group members.

Bali exchange rate:

The exchange rate given by the tour guide is 1: 1800, and I changed it into 300 RMB, which is 540,000 rupees.

The exchange rate of Bali airport seems to be1:1700;

There are many roadside exchange points, generally 1: 1850. The advantage of changing with the tour guide is that you can change it when you are finished.

If you want to change money, if it doesn't cost much, I suggest you go to the local exchange point to change it. If there is a tour guide, you can change to another one.

Carrefour, the supermarket over there, can use UnionPay cards.

Know the currency of Bali:

The maximum denomination of Indonesian rupiah is 6,543,800+10,000 (about 50 RMB according to the exchange rate of tour guides).

5000 (it's the scenery of Bali, which is quite collectible)

10000 (tip, so change more if you can)

The tour guide said that even beggars here don't need coins below 1000 (I don't know if there are any), but it's good to have them, because some prices are followed by a fraction. If you don't have them, you will get more points.

Guide: pay attention to the difference between 10 thousand and 100 thousand (because it is easy to count mistakes);

One hundred thousand is two heads, red;

Ten thousand is: a head, blue!

The Indonesian rupiah is converted into RMB in the brain, that is, three zeros are removed, then divided by two, and a little more is added. 10000 rupees, which is 5 yuan RMB, and so on.

5. Language: What is the common language in Bali?

The lingua franca of Bali is mainly English and local languages, but many places where the group went know Chinese and some know Cantonese.

The local English accent is a bit strong. If they know a little English and say a few key words, they can probably communicate with each other. Recommend translation software, the exchange meeting is much more convenient, and the menus are basically in English. People who don't know English are really stupid.

(kuta beach)

(The unlimited swimming pool of Blue Point Hotel can only be accessed by residents or restaurants on the other side of the hotel)

6. Communication: How to choose Bali mobile phone card and WiFi?

Local mobile phone card, must have. Generally, it's more than 30 RMB, the traffic is several G, and some people still pay the phone bill. You can book on a treasure in advance, some can only be mailed, and some can be picked up there after going to Bali airport.

(Mobile phone cards of self-service vending machines in Baiyun Airport all over the country say that customized mobile phones for mobile/telecom are not supported = =! )

Because the mobile phone doesn't support it, I didn't buy it, so it's inconvenient to go, especially if I want to act alone, but I'm afraid I can't contact others. When there is no internet, no information can be found. Colleagues of the same trade bought the card online and picked it up at the airport. It is said that the signal is good. Portable Wifi can also be considered. But the price of the mobile phone card is more valuable, so you can make a phone call.

If there is Wifi, our hotel has good signal and fast speed. In other places, some restaurants have them. You can ask the waiter for the password, but some signals are not very good.

7. Transportation: What is the main mode of transportation in Bali? Is it convenient to take a taxi? Is there a bus?

The locals in Bali basically travel by motorcycle and car, and there are few opportunities to see bicycles, pedestrians and buses on the road. Therefore:

1) Rent a car and charter a car every day.

If you are traveling freely, it is recommended to choose a chartered car, which can be booked on various travel websites. Because we didn't make any efforts in advance, our free travel was booked soon. There are six hours to charter a bus to Blue Point and afternoon tea (dessert coffee/tea). The price is 155 RMB for two people, and we book three people, which is equivalent to more than 400 cars. What's more, it's a five-seat car, and the space is spacious, at least four more people can sit. A little wasteful. If you tell the driver to add people, it should be no problem.

Remember to write down the license plate number so that you can find it and tell your family.

Later, I checked the chartered car price, which was around 10 hour and 200. Remember to book a few days in advance for free travel and car rental and choose a more affordable price.

2) Take a taxi

I checked the Raiders before, and the most famous taxi in the local area is Bluebird Company, which is easy to recognize. Logo is a blue bird, and the starting price is Rs. 7,000. The tour guide reminded us that when we get on the bus, we must check whether the watch shows 7000, so as not to accumulate the mileage of the last passenger.

(Bluebird Taxi)

It takes about 10 minutes to get to the hotel by taxi from Carrefour near the hotel. The price is 17000 rupees. The driver seems to be a novice and doesn't know the way. Fortunately, we do. Another team member who walked the same distance as us charged 30,000 rupees for their car. Later, the tour guide said that no matter how much, it would cost at least 25 thousand rupees. Maybe our driver is a novice, so our fare is cheaper.

3) bus. I haven't studied the bus in Bali, but I saw the bus stop sign, a small stop sign with a turtle on it and a route below. I have seen this kind of bus on the road. It's about the size of CMB, yellow and green, and there's a little turtle. You can experience it sometime.

8. Eat: What's the taste of Bali? How about restaurant consumption?

According to the tour guide, the diet in Bali is salty and sweet. Eating in a restaurant outside, the first generation of orange juice is very sweet and fried noodles are very salty. And many fried things here, such as shrimp slices and dirty duck rice, are also fried, so they are very crisp.

Bali special fried noodles

(Bali special fried noodles? That seems to be what the menu says. This is the China restaurant opposite the hotel.

(Dirty duck meal)

(Kimbaland Beach Barbecue)

Strangely, eating these things here won't get angry. It may be a water and soil problem!

The minimum consumption level outside the restaurant is about 20 RMB. If you are not used to eating, you can go to some medium-sized supermarkets to buy lunch boxes. On the last day, I found a supermarket near the hotel. There were lunch boxes, all kinds of sushi, lunch boxes, microwave heating and a place to eat. The price is more affordable than the restaurant. I chose a sushi, which is delicious. I strongly recommend giving it a try. That supermarket seems to be partial to Japanese and Korean food, and there are more customers in Japan and South Korea.

Convenience stores also sell bento, and the price is very affordable.

9.the price of the menu

(Remember to add three zeros to the menu price)

The first time I went out to find food by myself, I found the price of the restaurant menu a bit strange. After being reminded by my colleagues, I realized that three zeros are usually added at the back, which means 60, which is actually 60 thousand rupees. At first, I thought the conversion was wrong, and I thought it was a dollar quotation, which almost scared me.

10. Tip: Where should I tip in Bali?

Bali is a good place to tip. During our trip to Bali, we got the following suggestions:

1) Rs. 65,438+00,000 per room per day;

(65438+ 00% tax on the receipt on the restaurant receipt)

2) 10% tip is usually used in restaurants (there was no charge for a Chinese meal in the past).

3) The tip of our group bus driver and brother can be given by two people together, 10000-20000 rupees.

It is said that the basic salary of local people is very low.

Not counting tips:

I went to Turtle Island and gave 10000 rupees, which is probably the animal feeding fee.

There is also 1 10,000 rupees donated to Ubud Palace, similar to the merit box. You will be asked to write down your name and say that you will help pray.

1 1. Shopping: What do you recommend to buy in Bali? Where can I buy it?

To buy trinkets and soap, it is recommended to go to Carrefour. Reasonable price and many styles. Don't buy it in a small shop outside.

Like Ubud market, the prices there are very chaotic. If you want to bargain, those who don't know the market price are easily fooled. Recommend Carrefour to eat.

(

Coffee, our itinerary includes shopping. This is a coffee factory. There are female bean coffee, male bean coffee and cat excrement coffee. If you like coffee or giving it away, you can consider it, but if you want to buy it there, you should pack at least 5 bags and don't sell it casually, so if you don't want to buy too much, it's better to collect it with your peers.

(Bali Duty Free Shop)

Others, brand-name bags and skin care products are duty-free.

I haven't been to Bali much, so I can't share more experiences.

12. Accommodation hotel

On this trip to Bali, we stayed in the same hotel for 4 days. When I came back the next day, I found that the big towel in the bathroom had not been changed.

I didn't change the sheets either, but then I saw the bathroom.
