There are two short stories in Idiom Primary School that make me think deeply. One of them is "The Principle of Thieves": it is about a county magistrate named Zhang Qing in the Qing Dynasty, who is outstanding and manages the county in an orderly way, while the neighboring counties are smoky and worried. Therefore, Zhang Qing was moved to a neighboring county, and soon the thief disappeared. Three years later, Zhang Qing returned to his hometown, but all his possessions-ten big wooden boxes disappeared without a trace! The next day, ten big wooden boxes were found, and there was a letter on them: the thief thought the boxes were full of jewels and suspected that they were just thieves, but the boxes were full of books, so he returned them to Zhao intact. After reading this story, I understand that thieves also have the principles and rules of thieves and will not blindly buy.
Another story is "Diligence and Diligence Don't Leave Home": Once upon a time, there was an old farmer who lived a frugal and happy life. Before he died, the old farmer gave his son a plaque that read "Diligence and thrift" and asked them to follow the sign. A few years later, his sons got married and separated. To be fair, they divided "frugality" into two parts. The eldest is diligent, and the second is frugal. However, although the boss works hard, his wife and son are extravagant. Over time, the family became very poor. Although the second child is frugal, he is negligent in farming, and he harvests very little food every year, which makes people unable to make ends meet. Let me understand: just being thrifty is like carrying a bowl with no bottom and never being satisfied; If you are frugal and not diligent, you will eventually be hungry and cold.
The book "Idiom School" let me enter the ocean of knowledge, which benefited me a lot and I will never forget it.
