/kloc-How valuable were British diamonds at the beginning of the 9th century?
/kloc-At the beginning of the 9th century, the price of British diamonds dropped by 656,800 pounds. At Sotheby's London Jewelry Auction on June 7th, a19th century antique diamond ring bought from a flea market was sold at a price of 656,800 pounds, which greatly exceeded the estimated price of 250,000 to 350,000 pounds and became the highest bid. In the1980s, an English woman bought this ring at a flea market for 10, and wore this diamond as an imitation for 30 years. Inadvertently reminded by the jeweler, this ring was sent to GIA for identification, and it was confirmed that the inlaid gem was a natural diamond, 26: 29ct. Because of this interesting background, this diamond was named Tenner Diamond to commemorate that the final transaction price was only 10.
