Buddhism doesn't mean that reciting Buddha cleanses one's sins. The purpose of Buddhist chanting is to get out of the six divisions in the wheel of karma. Just like a group of drowning people, chanting Buddha and practicing is equivalent to giving you a swimming ring and telling you the direction of the shore. Swim to the shore and you will be free. If you can't swim, you will drown in the water. Buddhism doesn't tell you that chanting Buddhist scriptures can cleanse your sins. It only increases the seeds of good, accelerates its maturity and leads to good results, and those evil seeds will bear fruit in the future. Buddhists strive for this time difference. For example, when we were human beings, Buddhism believed that this was the result of a good fruit in the past. After your life, hell may be waiting for you. Then if you fail to practice in this life, you may not have a chance in the next life. That's it.

Good and evil are rewarded. This is the law, which is beyond the grasp of Buddha.

Buddhism is a loose organization. For example, they are all studying. Being a monk is equivalent to studying in a closed school, where you have to get up at 5 am and attend classes all day, and you can't play basketball, fall in love and study wholeheartedly. These two schools are freely chosen by students. When you choose to become a monk, you give up all kinds of secular rights and start a Tathagata family business. If you can't be so strict, there is nothing wrong with studying Buddhism at home and in your spare time.
