Xi Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Institute-Jewelry and Precious Metals Inspection Center is a third-party product quality supervision and inspection institution established and authorized by Xi People's Government according to law, and it is subordinate to Xi Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision. With strong technical force and advanced equipment, the center is the only jewelry, jade and precious metal testing institution in Shaanxi Province that has three qualifications: measurement certification, examination and acceptance, and national laboratory accreditation, and can use CMA mark, cal mark and CNAS mark at the same time.

There are 2/kloc-0 technicians in the center, including 3 senior titles, 5 of whom have obtained the certificate of national registered surveyor, and many of them have obtained the FGA certificate of British Gemmology Association, senior engineer of rock and mineral appraisal, GIC inspector, etc.

The central laboratory is well-equipped, and modern testing instruments, such as X-ray fluorescence spectrometer, Fourier infrared spectrometer, ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometer, diamond proportioning instrument, ultraviolet-visible optical fiber spectrometer and other large precision instruments, have been introduced from the United States, Japan, Germany, Britain and other countries. Accumulated a wealth of gem detection results and experience; In precious metal detection, rapid nondestructive testing can be carried out and accurate detection data can be given in time. Its high-quality and efficient service quality has won a reputation at home and abroad.

As an independent third-party impartial inspection institution, it can be based on the national standards GB/T 16552 "Jewelry and Jade Name", GB/T 16553 "Jewelry and Jade Appraisal", GB/T 16554 "Diamond Classification" and GB1/KL. T 18043 "Determination of Metal Content in Jewelry" and other standards to carry out the detection of jewelry, jade and precious metal ornaments, and can accept and carry out the supervision and inspection tasks of jewelry, jade and precious metal products assigned by superiors, accept the entrusted inspection of jewelry and jade ornaments by consumers and jewelry-related enterprises, and issue inspection reports or appraisal certificates.

The main tasks are:

1. Undertake the quality supervision and spot check tasks assigned by the superior.

2. Undertake the entrusted inspection of jewellery and jade in the society. Including identifying the variety of gemstones, distinguishing synthetic gemstones from natural gemstones, and checking whether jewelry and jade have been artificially optimized.

3. Undertake the entrusted inspection of precious metals in society. Includes detecting precious metal elements that may be contained in samples and contents.

4. To undertake the grading evaluation of diamonds entrusted by the society. Include diamond clarity classification, color classification and cut ratio classification.

5. Undertake arbitration inspection and fair inspection.
