At that time, Xie Xinmin was a private teacher and graduated from high school. He voluntarily went to Yeyike Township, the most remote place in Minfeng County, deep in Kunlun Mountain. 1May 1997, 16 National Unity Education Month, people first learned about Xie Xinmin from the stories reported by villages and towns. Out of the reporter's sensitivity, I made a further interview with Xie Xinmin and soon wrote my first newsletter. The day before the press release, Yang Guangyao, then Minister of Propaganda Department of Hotan District Committee, came to Minfeng to inspect the work. After reading my manuscript, he immediately asked not to publish the first draft, and asked me to form a propaganda team with reporters from newspapers and TV stations to concentrate on shaping Xie Xinmin, a typical image of national unity.
After nearly a month's interview in mountainous areas, we wrote a long newsletter, Igniting the Fire of Hope, which was published in Xinjiang and the central media. Unexpectedly, because of this report, Xie Xinmin and his 19 students were taken down the mountain and went to school in the county. Xie Xinmin was also rated as a "national model worker", and most of his 19 Uighur students were admitted to high schools or technical secondary schools in the mainland.

Niya's Dream (1)
Author: Quan Pengfei
What is Niya?
Niya is a poem and a song.
Niya is a "paradise" in heaven, a true embodiment of a "mirage" in the Taklimakan desert, and the cradle of weaving fairy tales and dreaming of flying.
Niya, a monster buried in the desert18th century, suddenly emerged from the ground, a mysterious area with the words "language of death" written on wooden slips from right to left, a geomantic treasure full of gold jewelry and priceless treasures, and a desert hinterland with many ancient exquisite cultural relics buried underground.
Are you a dragon living in the ancient western regions? Either dig three feet into the ground and sleep for a thousand years, or float out of the vast sea, jump in the air, radiate scales, splash flames, and stir up a world of joy.
Niya, you are so desirable and fascinating that even thieves have been "rushing forward" and "turning back" after a narrow escape.
Hey, I regret not going to Niya all my life, and I regret going to Niya all my life.
Niya, are you a devil or an angel?
Tell me-Niya, it sounds romantic, looks tragic, and it's tragic to think of it!
There are too many treasures and mysterious cultures buried in Niya, which leads to all kinds of speculations, desires, dreams and even looting, which is really inevitable. How many people have been longing for this for a long time! As an "uninvited guest" who has been fortunate enough to enter Niya many times, the author would like to share with you the feelings and gains of going to Niya's secret realm.
The Legend of Niya —— Distant Memory
Legend has it that there is an ancient city of Virginia deep in the Taklimakan desert. The old king who lived in the desert castle had three beautiful princesses and eighteen golden camels. The old king promised the princesses that when they got married, each princess would get a golden camel with six peaks as his dowry. However, when the old king promised the three princesses to marry the three best tribal leaders in his country, unexpectedly, none of the three princesses took a fancy to the three leaders, and their lovers all chose the leaders of neighboring countries. In this way, in order to compete for beauty and treasure, intrigue, calculation, duel, killing and war are everywhere in the small ancient city of Niya, making an ancient desert city chaotic. God was very angry when he knew. He turned to the magician to punish this unruly place. So, the magicians tried their best and immediately set off a black sandstorm in the ancient city of Niya. The black storm blew for 7749 days and 49 nights. Finally, the whole ancient city was buried under the desert together with the eighteen golden camels of the old king. The ancient city disappeared, everything was calm, and the bloodshed of right and wrong and disputes was gone forever.
Among the centenarians in Minfeng County, I also heard a story told by their grandfather a long time ago-once upon a time, a local camel driver went to the depths of the desert to get firewood, but he lost his way. He walked farther and farther, and his heart was full of fear. It happened that the weather was bad that day and a black storm broke out in the desert. Camel passengers were so scared that they quickly got under the camel's neck to avoid the storm. More than an hour passed, and the black storm stopped temporarily. The camel man instinctively remembered it with his hands and suddenly felt something hard under his hands. The camel man took it out of the sand and saw that it was an ancient bronze mirror. The camel man happily put it in his pocket. When he pulled the camel up, it was disobedient, so the camel driver whipped it with a whip. The camel started up and raised a piece of sand on its hind hoof. Just where the sand landed, a small sandbag bulged on the ground, and a small piece of wood was exposed in one corner of the sandbag. The camel driver hurried to dig, but he didn't expect to dig out a wooden box full of gold and silver. Camel-Camel is busy putting the bronze mirror in the box, and then greedily finds a place next to the box to find the treasure. No sooner had he dug twice than a dead man's skull appeared in the desert. The camel was so scared that even the box fell. Along the way, the black storm broke out again, and the camel drivers crawled and dodged as before. The wind stopped, and he remembered again. As before, there is a hard object under his hand. He instinctively grabbed it, but it wasn't a bronze mirror. The second skull was actually in his hand. The camel driver was frightened out of his wits and turned around and ran. After a few steps, my legs went soft and I crawled all the way to escape. When he climbed to dark, he suddenly fainted. The next day, he happened to be found by another young camel driver who played firewood and saved his life. After the camel driver woke up, he talked nonsense for three days and nights-there are treasures in the desert and demons in the treasures. Don't go in again and don't touch them by mistake. Three days later, the camel who went to the desert for treasure alone died.
Since then, among the local elders in Minfeng, there is a story that there is a mysterious ancient castle in the depths of the desert, and there are countless treasures in the castle. It's just that these treasures are in the hands of the devil, and anyone can go in and get them, but in the end, no one can take them out, and no one can walk out of the desert.
