Still life studio skill course
First, the choice of equipment in the studio
For shooting in the shed, if you want high quality and comfortable feeling, EOS 5D Mark III is the most suitable. In terms of lens, EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM is enough to meet your needs. It not only has a wide field of vision of 24mm, but also has an ideal focal length of 70mm, which is convenient and flexible, and is the most practical lens.
Let's explain while looking at the picture.
Second, the effect of lighting application
The lighting arrangement of the studio plays a decisive role in the photos taken. First, we need to know the effect of each light level. As shown in the above picture, the forward illumination is consistent with the camera shooting direction. Forward lighting, commonly known as plane lighting, can be ignored, with the advantage of reflecting more details and the disadvantage of weak stereoscopic impression. Side light is more practical than side light, which can not only reflect the details of the subject to the greatest extent, but also create a super three-dimensional sense. Side light and side backlight hit the object in a small area and are mostly used to outline the outline. Of course, the backlight is the ultimate lamp position to outline the outline, and the three lamps are selected according to the specific situation. The bottom light shines from bottom to top, which has penetrating effect and is mostly used to shoot transparent objects. Finally, the top light is opposite to the bottom light, and there will be a concentrated shadow area when it shines on the subject, which has a strong three-dimensional effect.
On the right, I took this photo from the perspective of overlooking, which made the heart shape of kumquat gradually change from right to left, and at the same time, its projection also extended to the left, further strengthening the three-dimensional sense of the picture, like a vivid relief.
The left light and the right light are turned on at the same time, and the flash intensity of the right flash is slightly higher than that of the left flash, so that a rich sense of layering is reflected without losing the three-dimensional sense.
EOS 5D Mark III shutter speed:1125s aperture value: F 1 1 focal length: 70mm sensitivity: 100.
The dome light forms a beautiful projection area under the kumquat, which makes the picture look heavy. The round kumquat and the beautiful projection complement each other, as if a group of lovely elves were sitting together, listening carefully to an old man telling an old story.
Third, the sequence of lights when lighting
Start with the main light, and turn off the right front light and the left rear light when arranging the main light, so that you will not be disturbed by them and locate the main light accurately.
After arranging the main light, arrange the auxiliary light. The arrangement of the auxiliary lights is the same as that of the main lights. Turn off the other lights, which one is the main one. This seems tedious, but practice has proved that this method is fast, accurate and stable.
When arranging the side light, it is best to find the area where the light shines on the object to maximize the aesthetic feeling of the object.
After the main lights, auxiliary lights and side lights are arranged, open the three-light area, accompanied by? Pop music? The voice of the shutter got this naive photo.
Fourth, the application of reflector
The more lights, the better. Sometimes lighting can't bring the desired effect. At this time, the application of reflector will be the finishing touch. As shown above, the aluminum alloy border of the keyboard is not bright. If you turn on the light, it is easy to whiten the layer because of the high reflectivity of aluminum alloy. At this time, if a reflector is installed, the effect will be much better.
The reflector well reflects the keyboard texture made of aluminum alloy. Clever use of reflector will enrich your picture level. Because of its flexibility and practicality, it is deeply loved by photographers.
Five, still life sketch
Kumquat is scattered on the still life stage. I put the lines formed by them on the golden line of the picture, which makes the picture look reasonable and vivid, and the contrast of large and small objects also adds a lot of interest to the picture.
The combination of orange and green makes the picture fresh. The overhead shooting well reflects the fullness and roundness of the cup, and it is also easy to get a large area of green. The playful water drops make the fruit in the cup look so attractive.
Books, fruits, coffee, what a quiet afternoon, just waiting for you to find it quietly.
Teaching of Lighting Types in Still Life Photography
1. brightness: the brightness in photography refers to the brightness of the surface of the object irradiated by the light source. Brightness is closely related to the type, nature and luminous intensity of light source, irradiation distance and the reflection ability of physical characteristics of object surface to light.
There are two kinds of light sources used in photography: natural light sources and artificial light sources.
(1) natural light source, that is, through the sun. The intensity of sunlight is constant, but it changes with seasons, weather conditions, time, altitude and geographical latitude and longitude.
(2) Artificial light source, as its name implies, is the light used in all kinds of photography. Artificial light source can ensure stable output, but it is closely related to distance. The closer to the subject, the stronger the light. The farther the distance, the weaker the light.
2. Light quality can be divided into soft light and hard light according to the characteristics of light.
① Strong light: It has obvious directionality, produces clear and heavy shadows, and can make the outline of the subject clear and in sharp contrast.
② Soft light: There is no obvious directionality, resulting in soft shadow and low contrast.
3. Optical level
① Headlight: Also called headlight, it illuminates the subject from the front.
② Side light: The light from the oblique side of the subject is usually divided into front light, backlight and oblique light.
③ Backlight: the light from the back of the subject.
(4) Top light: the light coming from directly above the subject, such as the morning sunlight.
⑤ Footlight: Light from below the subject.
⑥ Scattered light: light without a certain irradiation direction, such as natural light on cloudy days, is suitable for taking portraits and remaking printed matter.
4. Lightweight
Main light: the main light of the subject, which plays a leading role in the expression of the shape, outline and texture of the subject.
(2) Auxiliary light: The main function is to improve the height of the shadow part produced by the main light, so that the shadow part can also present the necessary texture.
Side light: the light used to outline the main body. Separate the object from the background to make it more stereoscopic.
④ Background light: the light behind the subject and shining on the background, which is used to highlight the theme or beautify the picture.
⑤ Decorative lamp: used to decorate the part of the main body to better highlight the main body, mostly used to shoot jewelry.
5. Light ratio, the light intensity difference between the bright area and the dark area on the subject. The greatest significance of light ratio to photography lies in the contrast between light and shade of the picture. Large contrast, visual Zhang Liqiang of the picture; The contrast is small, and the picture appears gentle and soft.
In portrait photography, contrast can represent people well. Gao Fancha is strong, while low contrast is gentle and lovely. In landscape photography and product photography, Gao Fancha has a tough texture; The low-contrast shooting picture looks dull and objective.
6. Light color is the color of light, usually referring to color temperature. Different light colors will have different effects on the demonstration effect, which is of great help to the theme of the demonstration. For example, red symbolizes warmth, yellow symbolizes nobility and white symbolizes purity.
