Heshun Town, located 4 kilometers southwest of Tengchong County, was called "Yangwendun" in ancient times. Because the river passes around the village, it was renamed "Heshun" and later renamed "Gentle and People-friendly". Now it is called Heshun Town, with a population of more than 6,000, and there are more than 2000 Heshun people living overseas/kloc-0. It is a famous hometown of overseas Chinese in Yunnan.
