What you use is expensive, and what you get is cheap. Isn't life worth less than the jewels of the Sui Dynasty? Mr. Zi Hua said: "It is best to completely adapt to life, followed by one-sided adaptation, followed by death, and suppressed life is the lowest." Therefore, the so-called cherish life, is to fully adapt to life. The so-called comprehensive adaptation to life is to let the six desires get their place. The so-called one-sided adaptation to life is to let the six desires meet half of their proper needs. The damage to life dilutes the dignity of life, and the more serious the damage to life, the more noble it is. The so-called death is unconscious, returning to the state where people have not yet been born. The so-called suppression of life means that the six desires have not got the corresponding needs, but have got something they hate very much. Surrender to humiliation is like this. There is no greater shame than injustice, so injustice is to drag out an ignoble existence, but it is not only injustice, but also worse than death. How did you know? It is better not to listen to what the ears don't want to hear; It is better not to see what the eyes see than to see what the eyes hate. So cover your ears when it thunders and close your eyes when it thunders, just like drag out an ignoble existence. All six desires know what they hate. If you can't exempt them, you might as well be unconscious. Without consciousness, it is called death, so it is better to drag out an ignoble existence than to die. Not all dead mice eat carrion that likes to eat meat; Those who drink too much don't drink all the bad wine; People who cherish life are unwilling to drag out an ignoble existence.
