How was Min 'alaba created?
"Min 'alaba" means "peace and good luck" in Burmese. Min Alaba was composed by Mi Feng, Ulan and Zheng Jun of China Oriental Song and Dance Troupe, led by Xie Yalian and Pan Ying, and absorbed the dance elements of Myanmar Dance Court. China Oriental Song and Dance Troupe premiered and performed at the National Grand Theatre. In the large-scale music and dance party "The Wind Delivers Venus", "Min Alaba" was deeply loved by the audience in China.

The dance movements are very characteristic of Burmese puppet dance. During the performance, the actors were dressed in traditional Burmese costumes, and the golden Burmese skirts were dotted with jewels. The main movements are squatting, squatting and semi-squatting, with more hand movements. The same dance can transform a variety of footwork, reflecting different aesthetic feelings and artistic conception. Every movement is accompanied by corresponding drums, which vividly depicts the graceful posture of Burmese girls. The music is full of Burmese court meaning, fast and slow, crisp and pleasant. When dancing, the steps should be subdivided, the knees should be tightened at all times, the upper body movements should be flexible and stretched, and the jumping feet should lift the skirt. The higher the skirt, the flatter it is, indicating that the more skilled the dance is. The choreographer Mi Feng said that Myanmar's dance style is very distinctive and looks beautiful, but dancing is very tiring. This dance embodies the efforts of the choreographer, and its vocabulary is novel, rich and infectious. China's choreography is also used to present Myanmar dance works to the world audience. China and Myanmar are adjacent and have lived in harmony since ancient times with good cultural exchanges. Therefore, Min Alaba's arrangement is a bridge to enhance the cultural and artistic relations between China and Myanmar, and also provides good materials for domestic dance lovers who love Myanmar dance.
