In the oil painting? Turpentine? With colored oil? What is the difference?
Turpentine is a volatile colorless transparent liquid extracted by distillation of turpentine, also known as resin turpentine. In painting, it can be used as a diluent for pigments and toners, and also as a solvent for resins. High-quality turpentine will not leave residue after rapid volatilization. Domestic painters mostly use medical turpentine, which is available in pharmacies. It is the best diluent for undercoating large color blocks. Venetian turpentine has nothing to do with resin turpentine. This is a very dense amber liquid. When added to oil paints and colored oils, it can produce a firm and gem-like conjunctiva. Therefore, it is often used as a glazing medium.

"Color oil" is the medium oil of oil painting, which is mainly used to dilute oil painting pigments. When used in painting, it can increase the gloss of color, control the drying speed of color, and at the same time, it can use its fluidity to achieve the required painting effect. There are common color oil with average drying speed, quick-drying oil with faster drying speed and linseed oil with slower color drying, which are used according to different performance processes.
