What are the advantages and disadvantages of light-cured 3d printers using LCD technology?
At present, SLA, DLP and LCD are the mainstream technologies used in light-cured 3d printers on the market, among which LCD is the most common brand manufacturer of light-cured 3d printers _ dental jewelry 3D printers _ resin 3D printers-Paiwei. At present, let's talk about the advantages and disadvantages of the current LCD light-cured 3d printer:

First talk about the advantages:

1.LCD photo-curing 3d printer has high printing accuracy. Generally, they use a transparent screen with a resolution of 4K or even 8K, which can easily reach the accuracy of 100 micron, and is technically superior to SLA technology. As far as the current situation is concerned, if it is not industrial grade, only DLP can be compared with LCD in accuracy;

Second, the cost is cheap. LCD is an open source technology, and the parts on the equipment are much cheaper than SLA and DLP as a whole. It is the most cost-effective photocurable 3d printer at present.

Third, it is difficult to get started and easy to maintain. There is no projection module like SLA laser galvanometer or DLP, and an LCD can be assembled only by a high-resolution transparent screen and Z-axis module, which is simple in structure and easy to maintain.

Fourth, consumables are universal. The LCD uses 405mm ultraviolet light. Theoretically, like DLP technology, the resin used in consumables is basically compatible. In addition to the resin consumables dedicated to SLA, there is no need to worry about the difficulty of purchasing the corresponding consumables when using LCD light-cured 3d printers at present.

Fifth, the printing speed is fast. Compared with SLA, point forming is different. Both LCD and DLP are surface molding, no matter how many objects are printed, they are printed at the same time.

Then talk about the disadvantages:

First, the key components of LCD: poor selectivity of transparent screen; At present, the transparent screen of LCD must have good transparency to 405 light source, and it needs to be baked at high temperature for several hours. Therefore, the transparent screen is the most frequently replaced component among all the components of the LCD photocurable 3d printer.

Second, the overall molding size of LCD is small. Generally, the molding size of LCD printing is mostly between 192* 120mm or 288 * 162 mm. Compared with FDM or industrial-grade light-cured 3d printers, the overall molding size of LCD is smaller.
