Online fake jewelry appraisal?
It is not uncommon to encounter false certificates when buying jewelry and jade, but in recent years, a new type of fraud has emerged. Forgers use fake website links to confuse consumers. As long as the victim scans the QR code on the fake certificate, he will jump to a cottage website showing the details of the goods.

The reporter's investigation found that some merchants on e-commerce websites such as Taobao provided fake appraisal certificates under the guise of "agent appraisal certificate service". The principle is also to cooperate with fraud through fake website links. A number of quality inspection agencies said that they had been impersonated by fake websites. Although they reported the case, the effect was not obvious.

Phenomenon:

The real and fake domain names are only two letters apart.

Recently, Mr. An, who is engaged in jewelry and jade business in Panjiayuan, Beijing, told reporters that on July 8, an elderly customer brought several ornaments bought from a mobile booth in the store, two of which were amber (beeswax) ornaments with the certificate of Peking University Gemstone Appraisal Center. However, Mr. An soon recognized that the pendants and bracelets brought by the old lady were imitations made of plastic.

Mr. An said that the main component of real beeswax is pine oil, and the lines are flowing, and these blocks of beeswax lines are stirred and made of plastic. In addition, Mr. An also introduced that the "Certificate of Gem Appraisal Center of Peking University" attached to the old lady when she bought beeswax was also forged. Fake certificates, except that the jewelry pictures on them look vague, the websites that pop up after scanning the QR codes on these certificates are also different from those displayed in official website.

Mr. An provided reporters with two kinds of "Certificate of Gem Appraisal Center of Peking University". Among them, scan the QR code on the real certificate, and the page will go directly to official website and the Gem Appraisal Center of Peking University. The link will show the detailed information of the certificate and the number of times it has been inquired. Scanning the QR code on the forged certificate also entered a website named "Peking University Gem Appraisal Center", but it did not display the detailed information of the certificate, but prompted to enter the certificate authorization code and verification code for inquiry. The reporter tried to enter the authorization code and verification code of the fake certificate on the website, and the page successfully jumped to show the details of the certificate. However, the reporter then entered the same information in official website, and the query result showed none.

The reporter noticed that the page domain name entered by scanning the QR code of genuine certificate is pkugac.com, while the page domain name entered by scanning the QR code of fake certificate is pukgac.com. There are only two letters reversed between them, and the latter cannot find relevant information in the system of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. "This kind of situation is generally to enter the cottage website," Mr. An said.

Taobao has a false certificate.

Investigation:

Taobao also has a fake certificate agent.

The reporter found that most shops that provide inspection services on behalf of consumers clearly stated in the product details that they "don't sell certificates and don't provide inspection and appraisal services by themselves", but only provide "running errands" to help consumers "send things that need to be tested to the national formal inspection and appraisal institutions". When the reporter asked about the specific handling process, most stores said that they needed to send in kind for inspection, and did not accept the requirement of "only providing photos and data".

However, some stores say they can trade forged certificates privately. A shopkeeper named "Yuxiang Soul" said after adding the reporter WeChat of Beiqing Daily that they can provide two kinds of certificates, namely, "Zhong Da (Beijing Zhong Da Jewelry Appraisal Center) is a false certificate, and China Business Association (China Business Federation Jewelry Quality Supervision and Testing Center) is a true certificate." In terms of price, the fake certificate 10 yuan is the real certificate of 20 yuan.

When the reporter proposed to make a fake appraisal certificate, the shopkeeper said that the fake certificate does not need to send real jewelry, only the reporter needs to provide photos and weights of jewelry, and said that other data related to jewelry "are all done according to the national standard". The reporter then asked whether the forged documents were easy to find. The other party's real certificate QR code is linked to the official website, and the fake certificate QR code is linked to a privately made website. "If you don't know official website, you can't see it."

According to the sample of the fake certificate provided by the store, the reporter scanned the QR code and found that it can link to the website named "Beijing Zhong Da Jewelry Appraisal Center" and also display the relevant information of the fake certificate. The reporter found that the website domain name of Beijing Zhong Da Jewelry Appraisal Center Co., Ltd. is cugbgem.org, while the website domain name of the fake certificate link is cugbgen.cn. When the reporter found the domain name on the system of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the website was a private website named "Shi Mei Psychic". The reporter then entered the serial number of the fake certificate in official website, and the query result showed "No such certificate".

Jewelry evaluation agency

Has been reported to the public security and other departments.

It is understood that in June 5438+ 10 this year, the Jewelry Quality Supervision and Testing Center of China Business Federation also issued a statement saying that criminals were found to have forged false certificates and established false websites in the name of the center. The center has reported to public security, industry and commerce, network supervision and other government departments.

A staff member of Zhong Da Jewelry Appraisal Center told reporters that the phenomenon of forging appraisal certificates has existed in the industry for many years. They know that there are four or five companies that imitate Zhong Da certificates, but the form of counterfeiting through fake websites has only appeared in recent years. "There are many false certificates now, and it is difficult for ordinary people to identify them from the outside." The staff said that consumers are advised to identify the authenticity of certificates and articles by going to official website to inquire, calling the company registered in the appraisal center or going to the appraisal center for re-examination. A staff member of the Gem Identification Center of Peking University said that the website on the back of the fake certificate does not match the website of official website, so consumers can pay attention to identification. In addition, consumers can also call and enter the number in official website to identify the authenticity.

Enterprise interior

Emerald and beeswax are the hardest hit areas for false certificates.

The staff of the Gem Appraisal Center of Peking University told the reporter that the fake jewels and jade "are almost all beeswax and jadeite, and there are more beeswax".

A staff member of Yunnan Laboratory of National Jewelry and Jade Quality Supervision and Inspection Center said that older people are generally more likely to buy goods with false certificates. "Most of the goods sold by regular tourist shops in scenic spots are certified by quality inspection agencies, so there should be no major problems." The staff said that the fake certificates they encountered mainly came from the flower and bird market and antique market, and also included some consumers brought back from overseas travel, such as synthetic rubies. "But now consumers' awareness of rights protection is also improving, and products will be sent to quality inspection institutions for testing. "

If you want to identify, go through formal channels and don't be fooled by others. There are really too many things that are difficult to distinguish between true and false. You have to be vigilant and hard to prevent.
