After Britain forcibly rented Ahava, only one or two hotels and official houses in the Acropolis set up their own machines to generate electricity and install electric lights. 1926 to 1927, Ahava people such as Lv Shouxu and Qi raised funds to set up Sleepless Electrical Appliances Co., Ltd. in Lujiaxiang of this city, with diesel engine 15 horsepower and generators of 7 kilowatts each.
