The construction process of ancient Kannonji
Kannonji was quite big before liberation. According to the memories of local old people, Kannonji used to cover an area of about 300 mu, with various doors, halls and sheds, and many pilgrims from far and near, especially Guanyin Spring, which has been inexhaustible, clear and sweet under ginkgo trees for thousands of years and can cure all diseases, and is known as "Guanyin Shenquan". After the liberation of Kannonji, it was rebuilt as "Hongyan Middle School". The monks dispersed, leaving only five main halls, and the rest were turned into classrooms. Until the early 1990s, it was still used as a township middle school.

1998, when Mr. Long came here, he saw that the temple was in ruins and there were few scenic spots, so he ignored the old man's advice and raised funds for a warm-hearted restoration. 1999, with the approval of the local government, it was restored as a formal Buddhist activity place. 200 1 A main hall was built, which contained the bronze statues of Guanyin, Pu Xian, Manjusri and Dizang. In 2005, Master Long Xing passed away in Beijing. Four disciples invited Chao Ming, an old monk from Mahagyanji, Taixing Mountain, to live in Xi. The old monk changed Kannonji to Kannonji, and assigned Master Wu Xuan to take charge of it. Within one year, he built more than 30 squatters on two floors. In 2006, the old monk of Chao Ming died, and his disciple Master Wu Xuan took over as the abbot, continuing to carry forward the legacy of the old monk, carrying forward the spirit of practicing Buddhism in Nandu, paying attention to meditation and promoting Mahayana altruism. Since Master since the enlightenment Xuan took over, he has tidied up monasteries, afforested the environment, maintained ginkgo trees, laid floor tiles, built courtyard walls, held meditation sessions and tea parties, and formulated a plan for spreading Buddhism in Kannonji. Based on Zen practice, he took Guanyin as an opportunity and tea party as a convenience to carry out learning experiences and activities for spreading Buddhism. The overall reconstruction planning of the temple is also under intense design. Since the resumption of religious activities in Kannonji, the Millennium ginkgo tree in the temple has become more and more vibrant, and it is flourishing in Ye Sheng, covering the sky and shining brilliantly. These auspicious signs are the symbol of the prosperity of the country and people and the prosperity of Buddhism. It is believed that a new learning center will be built at the foot of Zhong Nanshan Mountain in the near future.

Master Shang Chao, whose common name is Cui Tianhou, also known as Hua, was born in 19 18 in a jewelry merchant's family in Daixian County, Shanxi Province. At the age of 29, he was trained as a monk in manjusri temple, Wutai Mountain. 1983, he lived in Taixing Mountain in the south of Xi Zhong. 1986, he went to the Mahayuan Temple in Nansiling. He saw that the main hall of the ancient temple was broken and the Buddha statue was upside down, and he lived here, advocating honesty, redecorating the Buddha statue and repairing the temple. He studied Buddhism for 60 years, strictly observed the Diamond Sutra, and advocated Pure Land Sect in his later years. For decades, I have been strict and strict. After climbing Taixing Mountain, I made a vow not to go down the mountain for 20 years, and my wish came true on April 8, 2006. In the meantime, I lived in Wulong Palace for 4 years and practiced penance in a 4 square meter hut. I haven't seen the sun for four months a year, and I haven't seen anyone for half a year. Eat with dry food and snow water every day in winter. The teacher insists on eating a kind of food in Japan and China, and leads monks to chant and meditate in Yin Shi every morning. Teachers never compare, never talk about fame and fortune, and never pretend to be lofty. He has trained tens of thousands of disciples all over the country, covering the United States, Canadian, Indonesian, Swiss, Hongkong and Taiwan Province. More than 20 disciples can strictly observe the precepts and practice diligently. Teachers often treat diseases for the masses and teach their disciples: "Teach patriotism, serve the people, speak well, do good deeds, don't eat meat, and always remember Amitabha". I cherish the property I support very much, and the daily necessities are extremely simple. The money saved is used to print scriptures, build temples and help the victims. The teacher passed away peacefully on May 28th, 2006 14: 40. He lived in the world for 89 years, and his disciples left his body according to his will. Before expressing his silence, he said to his disciples, "I will come to Commander Nan again. You should practice hard and wait for me here! " !

Master Wu Xuan, common name Zheng, 1969, was born in Luyuan Town, Gaoling, Shaanxi Province. Before becoming a monk, he engaged in clinical practice of traditional Chinese medicine and studied in Xianyang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. During this period, I became interested in human science and personally studied the phenomenon of special functions of human body. I found that people's thought is indeed a kind of energy, so I went deep into traditional medicine to find the answer, dabbled in Taoism, Yijing and other classics for in-depth exploration, which attracted a lot of life phenomena and visited experts and scholars from all walks of life all over the world, but I was puzzled. Later, I got a copy of the Diamond Sutra. After careful study, I found that Buddhism is the most satisfactory explanation for life phenomena. 1996 started to become a monk, and the time is ripe. In February of the same year, he visited the location of Chao Ming, an old monk in Kuyoumaha, Zhong Nanshan, and felt more cordial and happy, so he shaved the old monk Chao Amin and became a monk. Under the guidance of the old monk, I carefully studied Buddhist classics such as the Diamond Sutra and the Six Ancestors Tanjing, and practiced meditation and meditation. The method of sensory meditation is very corresponding. At the end of the year, an anklet will be given to the old monk under the lawyer's seat of Li Mingshan of Guanghua Temple in Putian, Fujian. After Ju Yuan came to Beijing to prepare for the China Buddhist College, he was destined to get close to Master Miao Hua, then the director of the Academic Affairs Department of the Chinese Buddhist Association, and help Master Miao Hua to sort out his lecture notes, including Vimalakīrti Sutra, Diamond Sutra and Six Ancestors' Altar Sutra. Once again, he had a deeper understanding of these Zen classics, and finally decided to give up his further study at the Buddhist College and go to Yunjushan for Zen alone. In 2000, he was invited by Rucheng, an old monk of Wolong Temple in Xi, and became a master of Wolong Temple. 200 1 I was very close to the old monk Guangshan in Qingyuan Mountain, but later refused to accept the resignation of the monitor because of the permanent ceremony. I went to Yunjushan to live in a meditation hall. Because I work hard and have nothing else in my heart, I was invited to be the monitor by a sincere old monk. I think my fortune is still very shallow, and my words are not accepted. So I went back to Meihua Cave in Niubeiling, Shiqianyu, Zhong Nanshan for seclusion and self-study. When I stayed in the mountains, I gave up all contact. Meditation at noon in the middle of the night is very hard, and Buddha and Bodhisattva bless. I often feel that I have been blessed by Dharma and Dew, and I am even more impressed by the unique success of meditation. In 2005, entrusted by the old monk of Chao Ming Dynasty, Master Wu Xuan, the abbot of Kannonji, Zhong Nanshan, led four disciples to cut through difficulties in Kannonji, repair the main hall on the ruins, welcome Guanyin, enclose the ancient ginkgo tree, build more than 30 squatter houses, green the courtyard, and set monks to run. Carry forward Lin Ji Zen, advocate practice, and carry out various meditation activities in the temple.
