Yuanmingyuan, a large imperial garden in Qing Dynasty, is located in the northwest suburb of Beijing, adjacent to the Summer Palace. Yuanmingyuan covers an area of more than 350 hectares, of which the water surface area is about 140 hectares. In European museums, there are collections from Yuanmingyuan, such as Women's Historical Prose (British Museum), Forty Poems of Yuanmingyuan (National Library of France), remnants of Sikuquanshu, porcelain, Buddha statues and stupas (mostly concentrated in Fontainebleau Palace, France).
