Beijing Jewelry Institute is a full-time institution of higher learning approved by Beijing Municipal Education Commission, 1998. It is the first jewelry college in China with the goal of cultivating advanced compound jewelry professionals, and it is also a demonstration base for jewelry education in Asia. Since 1998 officially enrolled students, there have been eight graduates. As the dean, Professor Li Jinsong is always at the forefront of reform and innovation. He is the founder of China Gemstone Association and Asian Jewelry Federation, the leader of Chinese jewelry discipline, the pioneer of jewelry industry and the leader of Chinese jewelry industry. Over the years, it has made outstanding contributions to promoting China's gem culture, prospering the jewelry market and cultivating jewelry talents. In recent years, our teaching work has been strongly supported and helped by the Beijing Municipal Education Commission and the Asian Jewelry Federation China Light Industry Federation, and students' production practice ability has been significantly improved. College graduates have shown good professionalism and solid professional foundation in jewelry appraisal, processing and sales, which have been widely praised by the industry, continuously improved social credibility and played a certain role in building a harmonious socialist society. Our institute was listed as one of the top ten light industry colleges in China in 2006, and was awarded the title of "Asian jewelry talent training base" in the same year.

At the beginning of the hospital, Professor Li Jinsong took the development planning, establishing and perfecting the management system, standardizing teaching, cultivating teachers, cultivating practical talents and developing vocational training and education as the guiding principles. Over the years, our college has trained a large number of practical teachers, summed up a lot of teaching experience and constantly improved it, ensured that the personnel training objectives and service orientation are clear, and put professional ability training in the first place. The college has always regarded the promotion of "Industry-University-Research's combination of practical use" as the reform goal of teaching construction, always adhered to the talent training mode of "Industry-University-Research's combination of practical use", ensured the quality of theoretical teaching on the basis of adjusting the course structure and carefully selecting the course content, and at the same time emphasized the construction of practical teaching hardware, constantly strengthened and standardized practical teaching and its management, and established a "double certificate" system in line with the characteristics of vocational education.

Now I will share with my friends some mature practices obtained in the reform of teaching construction as follows:

First, based on the needs of professional posts, make teaching plans and compile standardized teaching outlines.

Gemstone Appraisal and Business Specialty has made a teaching plan according to the professional post requirements. Based on the analysis of professional ability, the structure of students' knowledge, ability and quality is constructed. Focusing on the improvement of professional ability, we should constantly update the teaching content, adjust and optimize the curriculum structure, pay attention to the horizontal expansion of knowledge, and reflect the advanced nature and application of knowledge.

Theoretical course breaks the traditional curriculum system of undergraduate course compression, and updates the teaching content and teaching methods. The teaching content of basic courses is determined by the degree of sufficiency; The theoretical teaching reform of professional knowledge should strengthen pertinence and applicability according to the training objectives of different special abilities, and pay attention to introducing new theories, methods and technologies of gemology into teaching.

In view of the fact that the graduates majoring in gemstone identification and marketing in our school are mainly oriented to the front line of gemstone identification, testing, processing and sales, and the level of various units and businesses in China's jewelry industry is uneven, we attach importance to cultivating students' self-study ability, so we have intensified the reform of gemological instrument identification, introduction to gemology, jade carving technology, jewelry marketing and other courses in the main curriculum.

Two, around the goal of personnel training, purposeful and planned to carry out teaching.

Adhere to the close combination of moral education, legal education, vocational education and college students' daily behavior standard education, improve students' personal moral cultivation, cultivate students' good sense of social responsibility and good professional ethics, and work in the front line with peace of mind. In the implementation of the teaching plan, it is necessary to emphasize skill training, increase the teaching hours of practical courses, cultivate students' professional comprehensive quality with professional ability as the center, and run key abilities such as gem identification, testing, processing and marketing through the whole teaching process.

1. Divide lesson plans into five special abilities. Namely: basic quality social activity ability, professional basic knowledge ability, gem identification ability, gem processing ability (highlighting jade carving) ability, gem marketing ability. The cultivation of professional ability runs through the three-year teaching implementation process.

2. Arrange the teaching process around the teaching plan and teaching acceptance requirements, rationally allocate teaching resources, and ensure the normal operation of all teaching links. In all teaching links, we should attach importance to and strengthen the comprehensive training for graduation. According to the social needs of the professionals, the skills of gem identification and testing, jade carving and marketing are strengthened as key vocational skills. Students' graduation internships are all arranged in gem appraisal institutions and processing and marketing enterprises for on-the-job training, and the graduation thesis is selected according to the internship content. After graduation, students can quickly adapt to the job requirements and get recognition from employers.

3. The teaching of basic courses is based on "enough" and integrates the teaching content. Pay attention to cultivating the ability to analyze and solve practical problems by using basic theoretical knowledge. The teaching of specialized courses focuses on the training objectives, highlighting the professional post-oriented teaching, and the systematic, applied and practical nature of the course is further revealed.

4. Pay attention to the cultivation of professional key abilities, attach importance to practical teaching, and actively explore professional teaching reform. We pay attention to the cultivation of students' professional key abilities, which runs through the implementation of the teaching plan, that is, the identification, testing, processing and marketing of gems are implemented as professional key abilities, and run through the teaching process of experiment, internship, training, graduation (production) internship, graduation thesis writing and defense.

5. Combining with the types and characteristics of the course, different teaching methods and means are adopted in teaching, and good teaching results are achieved. The examination of theoretical courses mostly adopts the methods of closing books, opening books or writing papers, and pays attention to students' theoretical application ability. Practical skills assessment focuses on key professional abilities, and combines the requirements and standards of professional qualification appraisal to conduct on-site practical assessment for students.

This major makes full use of the advantages of the national vocational skills appraisal institute owned by the college, and strengthens vocational skills training in the teaching process to enable students to have strong professional skills. After the corresponding courses, you can take the examination of relevant professional qualification certificates without special training, so as to obtain the professional qualification certificates of gem inspectors, jewelry salesmen, jade sculptors and other positions at the same time as obtaining the college diploma.

This major has a long history of running a school and has formed a good guarantee mechanism.

Strengthen the close cooperation with enterprises, and realize the interactive school-running mode combined with Industry-University-Research of other enterprises. Relying on the Asian Jewelry Federation, * * * enjoys production and teaching resources. In the past three years, the students of this major have been employed in more than 50 gem appraisal institutions and processing and marketing enterprises, which has realized the interactive teaching between schools and enterprises, shortened the adaptation period of graduation and field work, and created conditions for students' employment. In the combination of production and learning, students benefit the most, which is manifested in the cultivation and exercise of innovative spirit and practical ability. For example, 0 1 graduates arrange students to go to Guangdong Sihui to learn advanced jade carving technology, advanced management methods and marketing concepts in Guangdong; During the internship of the 2003 graduates, I arranged to go to Nanyang, Henan Province to inspect the local jade resources and the management of precious jade. In graduation practice, the 2005 graduates attended the inaugural meeting of the Jade Chamber of Commerce of the Asian Jewelry Federation, and directly participated in the whole preparatory work of the first Jade Expo in China, the reception and sales during the exhibition, and the preparations for the conference, and got a comprehensive exercise; The students of 2006 participated in the preparatory work for the inaugural meeting of the Jewelry Education Committee of the Asian Jewelry Federation, and spoke on behalf of the students at the meeting.
