1. Indoor installation: When LED strip is used for indoor decoration, the installation is very simple because it is not subject to wind and rain. There is a self-adhesive 3M double-sided adhesive tape on the back of each LED strip. When installing, you can directly tear off the adhesive on the surface of 3M double-sided adhesive tape, and then fix the light bar where it needs to be installed and flatten it by hand. What if some places need corners or are long? Very simply, LED strip is a circuit structure consisting of three LEDs connected in series and in parallel, and every three LEDs can be cut and used separately.
2. Outdoor installation: Outdoor installation will suffer from wind and rain. If it is fixed with 3M glue, the viscosity of 3M will decrease after a long time, resulting in LED strip falling off. Therefore, the outdoor installation often adopts the method of card slot, and the method of cutting connection is the same as that of indoor installation, except that waterproof glue is needed to consolidate the waterproof effect of the connection point.
3. Connection mode of controllers: LED racing lights and RGB full color lights need to use controllers to achieve the change effect, but the control distance of each controller is different. Generally speaking, the control distance of a simple controller is 10 to 15 meters, and the control distance of a remote controller is 15 to 20 meters, which can be controlled as far as 30 meters. If the connection distance of LED light bar is long and the controller can't control such a long light bar, then a power amplifier is needed for tapping.
4. Power connection mode: The general voltage in LED strip is 12V DC, so switching power supply is needed. The power supply depends on the power and connection length of the LED light bar. If you don't want each LED strip to be controlled by one power supply, you can buy a high-power switching power supply as the main power supply, and then connect all the LED strip input power supplies in parallel (it can be lengthened if the wire diameter is not enough), and the power supply is unified by the main switching power supply. The advantage of this is centralized control, but the inconvenience is that the lighting effect and switch control of a single LED strip cannot be realized, and the specific way can be measured by yourself.
5. Pay attention to the connection distance of LED light bars: Generally speaking, the longest connection distance of 3528 series LED light bars is 20m, and that of 5050 series LED light bars is 15m. If this connection distance is exceeded, LED strip will easily get hot, which will affect the service life of LED strip. Therefore, the installation must be carried out according to the requirements of the manufacturer, and the LED lights should not be overloaded.
