In mineralogy, there are two minerals called jade, one is amphibole and the other is nephrite. Flash means amphibole, and emerald means pyroxene.
The priceless jadeite in Myanmar is the most famous jadeite. Flash jade is the most representative jade in Taiwan Bay. Jade is delicate and tough, which can be said to be the toughest mineral on earth.
The first emerald is the most common jadeite in Taiwan Province, accounting for about 89%.
The second kind of Taiwanese jade is ivory "Laguangyu", which is crystal clear and looks like sheep fat, but the quantity is small.
The third kind of Taiwanese jade is the rarest and strangest, and that is "cat's eye jade". After polishing, the cat's eye jade will show a bright light like a cat's eye in the middle, which is dazzling. At present, among the sparkling jade produced all over the world, only Taiwan jade has a cat's eye, which is especially called "cat's eye jade".
In addition, small black spots are also the appearance characteristics of flash jade. Flash jade is the best jade if it is bright green without black spots.
How did this precious Taiwanese jade come from? Why does it appear in Toyota area?
At present, Hualien is still a part of Wang Yang 100 million years ago. At that time, some deep-sea sediments accumulated on the ocean crust.
About 6 million years ago, the first orogeny took place in Taiwan Province Province, which shattered a small part of the ocean crust and mixed it with deep-sea sediments. The compressive force of orogeny produces high temperature pressure, which transforms deep-sea sediments into "black schists" and marine crustal fragments into "serpentine".
About 6 million years ago, the second orogeny occurred in Taiwan Province Province, which made these stones deteriorate for the second time. Finally, serpentine and black schist were gradually pushed out of the sea and became part of the central mountain range.
Toyota is one of the few lucky places on earth, because there are many chemical components necessary to form amphibole.
Taiwanyu gets a lot of magnesium from serpentine, silicate from black schist and calcium from nearby marble. More importantly, two special orogenic movements in Taiwan Province Province provided a high-pressure metamorphic environment, which gave birth to precious and abundant Taiwan jade.
Toyota Jade has stopped mining at present.
