The eight schools of Mahayana Buddhism in China are Legalism, Huayan, Tiantai, Sanlunzong, Faxiangzong, Yan Zhen, Zen and Pure Land. The eight sacred words of Buddhism: rich and poor, Zen is convenient and clean, and only knowledge and patience are good and auspicious. Traditionally, self-cultivation and self-discipline are strict, and Tiantai Sect is organized by righteousness. This paper briefly describes the eight major sects of Mahayana Buddhism in China-Tantric Sect, Zen Sect, Pure Land Sect, Only Knowing Sect, Jiaxiang Sect, Huayan Sect, Legalist Sect and Tiantai Sect. Eight sects of learning have their own characteristics: Tantric rituals are complex, and practice requires Buddha statues and gold and silver jewelry, so it is called "wealth". Zen is called "poor" because it only needs to talk, put aside everything and need nothing. The phrase "Amitabha" in Pure Land can be practiced anytime and anywhere, so it is called "convenience". It's hard to learn only names and looks, and you have to be able to bear the annoyance. Jiaxiang School studies the space theory, Hua Yan is the first of the eight traditional schools, the practice emphasizes discipline, and Tiantai classifies the classics to facilitate learning and sort out special justice theories. "The law is equal and there is no competition." Eight sects can achieve their goals. In order to facilitate beginners to remember these eight sects, why? There are also two Hinayana sects. That is, Hinayana Empty Sect becomes the true Sect, and Hinayana has various sects. * * * into ten boxes. 1, all the sects that give up their roots, focus on introducing all the theories of giving up their roots founded by Bodhisattva Ai Shi, carry forward the truth of various laws, and clarify the principle of selflessness. It is believed that karma in the universe is immortal, so all laws are true. As for man, it is a false combination and a combination of various laws, so there is no false me in all laws, and this law has the view that I am empty, which is the main idea of this theory. This theory holds that the fruit of nirvana can be proved by observing the four truths without leaking true wisdom. Ancestors: Liang Wudi, Sanzang.

2. Based on the achievement theory of master Kali Ba Maw, Cheng Shizong gave full play to the empty theory of human law, established the concept of two empty laws, and broke the two obstacles of trouble and knowledge. If human law is empty, everything in the world will return to nirvana and silence. Grandfathers: Yao, monk Rui, etc. 3, Zen (also known as Buddhism), with no words and no text, emphasizes the cultivation of the heart, the communication between the heart and the heart, points to the heart, and regards Buddhism as a doctrine. In India, Mahakasyapa is the ancestor, and in China, Dharma in Liang Wudi is the ancestor.

4. Tiantai Sect, mainly Hokkekyo, explains the universe with three truths. When it comes to spiritual practice, we have to solve three mysteries, so we should try our best to solve them. This case originated from Huiwen in Northern Qi Dynasty, but concentrated the wisdom of Sui Dynasty.

5. Hua Yanzong (also known as Xianshouzong), based on Hua Yanjing, shows the origin of the dharma circle and the wonderful use of the ten mysteries and six phases, indicating the purport of clarity and harmony in all things. Founder: monk Du Shun in the early Tang Dynasty.

6. Mantra (also known as tantra) is based on the mantras and tantra of the Great Sun Sutra, such as the Jingang Dingjing, and consists of six major (namely, earth, water, fire, wind, qi, knowledge), four major mandalas (namely, mandala, Buddhism, karma) and three secrets (namely, body, mouth and mind). Ancestors: Sumitomo Buddha and King Kong Zhi during the reign of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty.

7. Faxiangzong (also known as Ci 'en Sect, Only Knowing Sect, Xiangzong Sect, and Youzong Sect) is mainly based on the understanding of the Deep Secret Sutra, and the yoga teacher's theory of land becomes a theory of only knowing. Its teaching is all things in the universe, knowing its changes. As the saying goes, "the three realms are idealistic, and all laws are only known." Knowing the reality of all things, we can turn knowledge into wisdom and enter the wisdom of Buddha. In India, Master Xie Xian is the ancestor, and in China, Genjyo Sanzo of the Tang Dynasty is the ancestor.

8. Pure Land Sect (also known as Buddhism Sect and Lotus Sect), based on Amitabha Sutra, Infinite Life Sutra and Infinite Life Sutra, teaches people to make a wish and practice Buddhism so as to live in the western paradise, where they will be taught by Amitabha and live indefinitely until they become Buddhas. Founder: Master Hui Yuan of the Eastern Jin Dynasty.

9. Famen (also known as Nanshan School), based on the four laws in the Five Laws, advocates observing the precepts formulated by Sakyamuni Buddha to control daily thoughts, behaviors and concepts. After a long time, it will be decided by precepts and wisdom, as Buddha can prove. Ancestor: Zhong Nanshan Daoxuan lawyer in the early Tang Dynasty.

10, Sanlunzong (also known as Faxingzong, Hangzong, Kongzong and Prajna Sect), based on the theory of the middle, the theory of the white and the theory of twelve people, said that everything in the universe has no fixed self-nature and changes with the relationship, so it is called destiny, so it is called "self-emptiness". It advocates understanding Buddhism, freeing the mind from the cycle and proving the vacuum. Ancestor: Kumarajiva in the Eastern Jin Dynasty.

Note: Zun's explanation is based on the root of all beings, so it is convenient to stand up and say that there was no Sect at first. Dafa came from the East. Later, scholars in China saw that Buddhism was like the sea in Wang Yang. In order to facilitate practice, they chose a road of specialization, so there were various sects.
