The difference of printing precision and printing mode determines that their application and production scope will be different. The contents printed by the barcode printer include commodity packaging, carton packaging, electrical appliances, brand identification, commodity identification, barcode identification, management, production, jewelry, clothing tags, tickets and other labels and barcodes are printed by the barcode printer.
2. Different printing methods simply mean different working principles. This determines their different scope of application.
Bar code printers use carbon tape or thermal paper to print. This printing form enables it to work continuously at high speed, even if nobody is on duty. But ordinary printers can't do this.
3. The paper used is different.
Bar code printers can print a variety of materials, such as synthetic materials such as PET, coated paper, thermal paper self-adhesive labels, polyester, PVC and washed label fabrics. The characters and graphics printed by thermal transfer printing have scratch-proof effect. Using special carbon tape printing can make printed products waterproof, antifouling, anticorrosive and high temperature resistant. Ordinary printers usually use ordinary paper, such as A4 paper and receipt paper. Although bar code paper can be used, the printing effect is not good, and it is generally not done, which is too wasteful.
4. High printing accuracy.
The "black and white bars" (or "blank bars") in bar codes represent information according to their different widths, so the accuracy of the respective widths of the "black and white bars" has a great influence on the reading of bar codes. Only when it is accurate can the identification and reading of bar codes be guaranteed. This accuracy is determined by the barcode software and related printers. Professional bar code printing software calculates the width of black and white bars according to the accuracy of the printer and the bar code data designed by users. When printing, it is controlled by the barcode generation function of the printer to ensure that the printed barcode is consistent with the designed barcode. Ordinary printers print bar codes as a complete image on label paper. This makes it a bit difficult to read input devices such as scanning guns.
5. The printing speed and printing quantity are different.
With correct operation and good maintenance, the bar code printer can work 24 hours a day, and the number of prints is unlimited. Bar code printers print faster than ordinary printers. Support serial number printing (bar code variability), you can save the label format pre-edited by users, or call the data in the database for batch and continuous printing. Bar code printers print in units of labels (volumes). Ordinary printers print single sheets of paper, which shows that bar code printers are very different from ordinary printers.
