Wu Guanzhong 19 19 was born in Yixing county, Jiangsu province. 1942 graduated from the National Academy of Arts, 1946 was admitted to the Ministry of Education to study abroad at public expense, 1947 went to the National Academy of Fine Arts in Paris to study the history of western art with Sioux Falls School. Wu Guanzhong returned to China in the autumn of 1950. He has taught in Central Academy of Fine Arts, Tsinghua University Department of Architecture, Beijing Institute of Art and Central Academy of Arts and Crafts. He used to be a professor of Tsinghua University Academy of Fine Arts, a consultant of China Artists Association and a member of China People's Political Consultative Conference.
Mr. Wu Guanzhong has made unique achievements in the field of Chinese painting. His works include Chun Xue, Lion Grove, Great Wall, Oil Painting, Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, Scenery of the Northland, Birds of Paradise and so on. And published personal collections, Wu Guanzhong's prose collection "Beauty and Ugliness" and so on. 199 1 year, the French Ministry of Culture awarded him the "highest honor of literature and art" in France.
