Kaiyuan District, Baotou City. Baotou Kaiyuan District is an important base for energy materials, rare earth, new coal chemical industry and equipment manufacturing in China and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and is known as "Grassland Steel City" and "Rare Earth Capital". The mineral resources in Kaiyuan District of Baotou City are characterized by many kinds, large reserves, high grade, concentrated distribution and easy exploitation.
