The Thief is a Hong Kong drama film directed by Zhong Shaoxiong and starring Roy Cheung, Li Wanhua and Yam Tat-wah. "Gangster" mainly tells the story of Chen Xing, the boss of the underworld, pretending to be crazy and selling stupidity to escape the trial, and doing evil everywhere with his men Ah He, A Liang and Ake.
Chen Xing (Yam Tat-wah), the underworld boss, was arrested by the police. In order to escape the trial, he pretended to be crazy and was sent to a mental hospital for treatment. There, his men Ahe (Roy Cheung), A Liang (Wei Junjie) and Ake came to the rescue, and Chen Xing escaped smoothly. After the four met, they committed a crime wantonly, robbing five gold shops in a row and taking away a lot of jewelry.
The prototype of this film is set in Ye Jihuan. Ye Jihuan was arrested in 1984 and sentenced to 16 years' imprisonment. 1989 successfully escaped from prison (the reward amount is the highest since the Hong Kong police opened the port).
