Judging from the words "28 years of Daoguang" engraved on this plaque, it has existed for more than 170 years. After years of wind and rain erosion, it finally showed its true colors-it turned out to be a plaque that was carved and reused three times by one side. The ancients' awareness of low carbon was really strong.
Besides, the story behind the plaque is also very interesting. This plaque was presented to Gu Jiaping, the magistrate of Nanyang in Qing Dynasty. The first two paragraphs are "Gu Erdan in the 28th year of Daoguang", "Gong Song" and "Congratulations to Jia Lao and Shi Lian Sheqi Town on the New Joy of Shanshan Guild Hall", and the second paragraph is "Yi Tong Shimin Gong" and "The temples, temples and Taoist temples in Wanchengfu are adjacent to Jiabao Bureau".
Overlapping carved plaques can be interpreted as "generations of wisdom and honor" and "grateful leaders". In addition to these two layers, there is obviously another layer, but it is already blurred and unrecognizable. At the top of the text, there is also a line of fine print "Xiangpo Gu's' Virtue of the Master'".
In connection with the previous paragraph, some people think that this is a virtue plaque given to Gu Jiayu by Tongbai County citizens, and the words on the plaque are "Rong Zhi Generation", while those given to Jia Lao Shi Lian are Wancheng Neighborhood, and the words on the plaque should be "Thanksgiving Leader". But can a Taoist be called a "leader" and be "grateful"? But whether it is a "generation of wisdom and honor" or a "grateful leader", Gu Jiaping can afford it.
According to historical records, Gu Jiaping was born in Xiangpo, Yichang County (now Yichang City) in the late Qing Dynasty. His father, Gu Huai, is known as the "third pen in the previous dynasty". He once served as the magistrate of Yichang County and lived in Central Street for generations. In the autumn of the twenty-seventh year of Daoguang (AD 1847), Gu Jiaping was edited from the seventh grade of Hanlin, and was promoted from the fourth grade to the magistrate of Nanyang. The next year, due to his mother's illness, Ding You returned to Li. In the first year of Xianfeng (A.D. 185 1), he served as the magistrate of Nanyang. In the spring of the third year of Xianfeng (AD 1853), Gu Jiaping's father, Gu Huai, died of illness, and Gu Jiaping helped her return to China. At that time, it happened that the Nian army was uprising in the north, and the soldiers reported it urgently. Gu Jiaheng was ordered to be reinstated by the Qing government and served as the magistrate of Nanyang three times. After that, Gu Jiaping was re-elected as the magistrate of Nanyang twice.
Gu Jiaping's famous couplet, "The heart is in the imperial court, whether it is the first master or the second master, why should it be distinguished from Xiangyang Nanyang and become famous all over the world?" , was left in Nanyang. Zhuge Liang's dispute over farming in Xiangyang Nanyang has been going on for hundreds of years, and he is still suing. As a villager of Nanyang magistrate and Hubei people, Gu Jiaping used a pair of couplets to fill the mud, and both sides were speechless. This is because of his knowledge and personality. So two pieces can be used on him.
It can be seen from the fact that this tablet was finally left in Shanshan Guild Hall that the tablet for Jia Lao Shi Lian should be the best and the clearest. Then give him the most recognizable "Rong Zhi generation", and "Zhi" can be understood as vanilla or Ganoderma lucidum, which is related to the Taoist priest's pursuit of immortality. It seems that the "leader" who should be grateful should be "Mr. Xiangpogu". What are the unrecognizable patches on the third layer? This problem can only be solved by experts!
