The appraisal price of jadeite is actually not high. At the source of the jade market, the cost of a single appraisal of jade is only a few tens of yuan. However, in other areas, the appraisal cost of jadeite will be higher, and several hundred yuan is a very common price.
After the jadeite is appraised, the appraisal institution will generally issue an appraisal certificate with three marks, namely CMA, CAL and CNAS. These three marks are the national certified jewelry appraisal institutions, and they are also the marks to identify the authenticity of jadeite.
The logo on the appraisal certificate will also be distinguished according to the type of jadeite. Generally, only a piece of jade will issue a certificate of "jade" results. If it is B-quality jadeite, it will be marked with the words "Jade (processed)", "Jade (glued)", "Jade (B-quality)" and "Jade (optimized)".
If it is C jadeite, the words "jadeite (dyed)" will be marked on it, but if it is D jadeite, the words "jadeite" will not appear, but the name of the substitute will appear, indicating that this is not a real jadeite, but an imitation.
The identification contents of jadeite mainly include refractive index, density, amplification detection and absorption spectrum. Generally speaking, the refractive index of jadeite is 1.66, the density is 3.33, and the absorption spectrum is 437nm. These are the data that can distinguish jadeite from other precious stones, and they are also the standard values that can identify jadeite.
In addition, the origin of jadeite generally does not appear on the jade identification certificate, because in the national standard of jewelry and jade names, the origin does not involve naming. If the certificate of jadeite indicates the origin of jadeite, it means something fishy.
