The first one is "Little Ai". Xiao Ai is the name of a maid. Zhang Ailing seldom uses her name to make a fuss directly in her memory. The story tells that Xiao Ai, a maid, was oppressed in the old society, and finally ushered in a new life after the founding of New China. However, the new life can't be said to be perfect, and there are still shadows of the oppressed days.
The second book, Legacy of the May 4th Movement, tells the emotional story of a middle school teacher Luo and her lover Miss Fan.
The two met after their marriage in Luo Jye. In pursuit of true love, Luo divorced Zhang, an old married woman. It took six years to pay a high compensation. It is worth mentioning that Zhang finally agreed to divorce because of the unbearable gossip. Miss Fan, a confidante, lost her love and trust while waiting, and decided to accept the arrangement at home and marry the pawnbroker. After knowing the news, Luo married Wang again. As a result, Miss Fan's pawnbroker divorced her. As a result, it was another divorce storm, and they finally came together after a lot of hardships. Miss Fan degenerated into a middle-aged woman without interest and romance after marriage. Later, Luo recovered Zhang and Wang, and Miss Fan succumbed to the wealth of her ex-wives. The third article is "The Miserable Wife". Like the title of the novel collection, it is also the longest story in this book. This work is based on the original plot characters in the novel The Golden Lock, but the effect is still a little worse than the original. The fourth article "Lust, Caution". There's really nothing to say. I have never seen a novel with more than 10,000 words changed into a drama for nearly three hours. Wang Jiazhi, a female college student, became an assassin and pretended to be Mr. Yi's mistress. However, when she accompanied her to a jewelry store in mr. yi to buy pigeon eggs, she broke her word and tipped him off in advance.

In the sixth article "Gone with the Wind", Du Niang said that this story was based on Zhang Ailing's life in the second half of her life, and it was also the most popular with her. But in fact, when I close the book, the only thing I can't remember is this story. Many sentences are mindless and the plot is a bit chaotic. This seems to confirm the saying of "writing about yourself" from another angle. Many writers are like this. Other people's stories are very organized and logical, but writing about themselves hides some obscure things, which makes me feel a little cold. Presumably, so is Zhang Ailing.
The seventh article "Classmates and Teenagers are Not Cheap" is another story of reunion of old friends. The title is as ironic as the embarrassment of meeting each other in Meet Huan. Obviously, it is "not cheap", but two girls with similar family circumstances in those years have long been separated. The two girls almost became gay when they were at school, but it's really different to meet again now.
In fact, what impressed Zhang Ailing most was all kinds of languages. At first sight, I was amazed. I couldn't help writing it down and savoring it slowly. The more I think about it, the more I want to applaud. I never knew that a sentence could be written so beautifully.
