Yulin Longtan Industrial Park was established in May 2008. Located in longtan town, Bobai County, it is one of the five functional groups in Guangxi Beibu Gulf Economic Zone. It is located at the intersection of two provinces and three counties (cities), adjacent to Beihai Port (98km), Zhanjiang Port (105km), the planned East Coast Wharf of Tieshan Port (20km), National Highway 325 and National Highway 2655. Yulin Longtan Industrial Park is one of the eight key parks in the whole region, with a planned area of 50 square kilometers in the first phase. The plan focuses on undertaking industrial transfer, developing port industries, building cross-strait (Yulin, Guangxi) agricultural cooperation experimental zone, and making efforts to build an industrial base focusing on non-ferrous metal smelting, processing, logistics and warehousing. At present, there are 12 enterprises entering the park, of which the first phase of Guangxi Yi Yin Science and Technology Mining and Metallurgy Co., Ltd. with a planned total investment of 8.3 billion yuan has been completed and put into operation, and the second phase is under construction; Invested by Beijing Zhonghuan Times Renewable Resources Recycling Co., Ltd., the processing and utilization project of Guangxi Longtan imported renewable resources with a total investment of 20 billion yuan is being started. In order to speed up the planning and construction of Tieshan Port (Longtan) group, realize complementary advantages and share resources, Yulin and Beihai sent working groups to negotiate for many times, and reached an understanding to promote the planning and construction of Tieshan Port (Longtan) group as a whole, which laid the foundation for the development of Yulin Longtan Industrial Park.
