A large number of sculptures depicting the Virgin Mary and the Son were created by craftsmen in Bohemia and Germany. They are all elegant, beautifully shaped and brightly colored. Among these outstanding statues of the Virgin Mary, the most exquisite one is probably the Virgin Krumo.

Gothic sculptures are always colored. Face and hands are natural colors, and hair is golden. The coat is brightly colored, decorated with jewels and rings, and the fireplace is inlaid with gems and stained glass. The overall effect of these statues is very touching, and their purpose is to hint at a real image of heaven.
