Yunnan, the provincial administrative region of People's Republic of China (PRC), is known as the animal kingdom and the kingdom of nonferrous metals, namely "the south of colorful clouds" and "colorful Yunnan".
Yunnan jade is close to Burma, so Yunnan jade is also Burmese jade. Due to the unstable situation in Myanmar, Burmese jade came to China to form a transaction, so it is called Yunnan jade.
Yunnan's gemstone resources are large in reserves and rich in varieties, and it is recognized as the "hometown of jadeite" by the industry. Yunnan, to a certain extent, has become synonymous with jade. "Yunnan Jade" and "Yunnan Jewelry" have become well-known brands at home and abroad.
In the 11th year of Yuan Dynasty (1274), Yunnan Province was founded, and "Yunnan" was officially named as Yunnan Province. Yunnan county used to have Yunnan county, Yunnan yellow and Yunnan government, and the word "Yunnan" has always been used.
From the Ming Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, Yunnan County was often called "Little Yunnan" because of the use of provincial names. In the seventh year of the Republic of China (19 18), Yunnan county was renamed Xiangyun county, avoiding the same name.
