Cleaning and Maintenance of Canon Printer
How to clean printers that have been working for too long, especially Canon printers, do you know how to clean them? The following is the cleaning method of Canon printer that I arranged for you, hoping to help you.

Cleaning of Canon and HP products Canon and HP have two kinds of printers and ink cartridges, one with its own print head and the other without it. As shown below, on the left is Canon's 826 ink cartridge. It can be seen that there is no print head, and the 84 1 ink cartridge on the right has a print head.

First of all, different print head structures

If the ink cartridge has its own print head, it can be cleaned as before. See the effect of cleaning. If you can't see the effect, the advantage of this integrated product is that there will be a new print head after replacing the ink cartridge.

Second, the independently replaceable print head comes from HP OfficeJet8 100.

If the print head and the right side of the ink cartridge are separated, the solution is to try to clean it with the tools that come with the software first and see the effect. If it is still blocked after cleaning, you can take the dead horse as a living horse doctor and try the ultrasonic cleaning machine. At this point, the print head can be removed. This process is not difficult. The picture above shows the HP print head. The specific cleaning solvent depends on the type of ink. On the official website of Canon and Hewlett-Packard, you can see whether the consumables used by the products are dyes or pigments on the product introduction page of the printer.

If it is a full dye printer, you can remove the print head and add anhydrous alcohol to the ultrasonic cleaner for cleaning. Pigment ink products need to buy special cleaning solvents, and then see the effect. However, it should be pointed out that the products of Canon and Hewlett-Packard are hot bubble technology, and the nozzles are very small, so it is difficult to guarantee whether these cleaning solutions are corrosive. And it is unknown whether the solvent is harmful to other plastic parts except the print head.

Third, ultrasonic cleaning machines are available in optical shops and jewelry stores, and it is not expensive to buy them separately.

The reason why we can try to use ultrasonic cleaning machine to clean replaceable print heads is because many products of Canon and HP are convenient to replace independent print heads, but independent print heads are not cheap. You can try ultrasonic cleaning, even if it is the worst result, it is not a pity that the print head is broken, because it has been sentenced to death. Ultrasonic cleaning is just to see if there is a miracle.

Cleaning the nozzle of the print head is a job better than nothing. It is valuable to have a good habit of using inkjet printers. For climates with different degrees of dryness or humidity, the author suggests that users should not put the inkjet printer on hold after buying it, but print a pattern of nozzle inspection and test every two or three days to ensure that the nozzle is not blocked. Especially now that the original ink price of inkjet printer products is falling, we can see clearly the necessity of maintaining the print head.

The routine maintenance of Canon inkjet printer mainly includes the following tasks.

Internal dust removal Open the cover of the inkjet printer to remove dust.

Main work to be completed:

1, use a soft wet cloth to remove dust, stains, ink stains and scraps of paper inside the printer;

2. If there is too much dust, the guide shaft of the letter carrier will be poorly lubricated, which will hinder the movement of the print head in the printing process. Dry absorbent cotton swabs can be used to wipe off the dust and oil stains on the guide shaft and replenish lubricating oil with good fluidity, such as sewing machine oil.

When dedusting the interior of the inkjet printer, please pay attention to:

1, don't wipe the gear, don't wipe the area near the print head and ink cartridge;

2. Generally, the print head should not be moved, especially for some printers whose print heads are in mechanical locking state (such as MJ- 1500K, STYLUSCOLOR and other printers). It is impossible to move the print head by hand. If the print head is forcibly moved, the mechanical part of the printer will be damaged;

3, can't use paper products (such as facial tissue) to clean the inside of the printer, so as to avoid paper scraps remaining in the machine;

4. Volatile liquids (such as thinner, gasoline and spray chemical cleaner) cannot be used to clean the printer, so as not to damage the surface of the printer.

Replacing ink cartridges Different models of inkjet printers use different ink cartridges and the methods of replacing ink cartridges are different. In the operating instructions of inkjet printers, there are often detailed instructions for replacing ink cartridges. Taking Canon BJC-6000 inkjet printer as an example, this paper discusses the method of replacing ink cartridges.

The operation steps for replacing ink cartridges are as follows:

1. Turn on the power supply, ensure that the inkjet printer and ink cartridge are online, and press and hold the online key until the printer chirps; ]

2. Open the top cover of the printer and take out the old ink cartridge;

3. Unpack the new ink cartridge, press the new ink cartridge into the slot (Figure 2), and gently press the top of the ink cartridge to make it contact well.

4. Close the top cover of the printer, press the print mode key and button key, and carry out routine cleaning on the newly loaded ink cartridge.

When replacing the ink cartridge, you must follow the steps in the operation manual. This printer needs to replace the ink cartridge when it is turned on, because the printer will transport the system in refill kit after replacing the ink cartridge. In addition, the printer uses an electronic counter inside the printer to calculate the amount of ink. During the process of replacing the ink cartridge, the printer will reset the internal electronic counter to confirm that the new ink cartridge is installed.

Please pay attention to replacing ink cartridges? What time:

1. Don't touch the outlet of the ink cartridge by hand to prevent impurities from mixing into the ink cartridge;

2. Don't bump the ink cartridge to avoid ink leakage.

3. Ink has conductivity. If it spills on the circuit board, wipe it with anhydrous ethanol, dry it and then turn it on, otherwise it may damage the circuit components;

4. The ink cartridge should be stored in a dust-free and dark place, and the storage temperature should be between-10℃ and +35℃.

Cleaning the print head Most inkjet printers automatically clean the print head when they are turned on, and they are equipped with a button to clean the print head. For example, Canon BJC-6 10 inkjet printer has three cleaning functions: quick cleaning, regular cleaning and thorough cleaning. Please refer to the steps in the operation manual of inkjet printer for specific cleaning operation. If the printer's automatic cleaning function is invalid, you can manually clean the print head. Manual cleaning should remove the print head according to the steps in the operation manual.

Manual cleaning of the print head can cover a thin hose at the front end of the medical syringe, fill it with strictly filtered water and rinse it clean. When cleaning, carefully observe the spray hole with a magnifying glass. If there is deposition residue beside the spray hole, it can be removed with soft rubber products.

The long-standing integrated print head blocks the nozzle hole because the ink is dry, so it can be soaked in hot water and cleaned.

Cleaning the print head should pay attention to the following points:

1, don't clean the nozzle with sharp objects, don't hit the nozzle, and don't touch the nozzle with your hands;

2. Don't disassemble or install the nozzle under the charged state, and don't touch the electrical contact of the printing carriage with your hands or other objects;

3. Do not take the nozzle off the printer and put it alone. Don't put the nozzle in a dusty place.
