During the Dacheng Dynasty, the white elephant was also presented to China as a friendly messenger. The messenger decorated its stem with jewels, filled it with a gold plate, and presented it at the end. The emperor appreciated his intention and sent it generously.

When Buddha Loetla Nabhalai was in the Bangkok Dynasty, he changed the national flag because he was happy to win three white elephants, and changed the national flag with red color at that time into the national flag with white elephants on a red background.
