Since gold and its products are restricted by the state, they have their own regulations. Many travelers will wear gold bracelets and necklaces when they enter or leave the country. Is this allowed? What are the rules?
Passengers carrying gold and its products into or out of the country, more than 50 grams, need to declare in writing to the customs. For example, if you buy gold bracelets, necklaces and other jewelry abroad, the total amount does not exceed 50g, you don't need to declare it; If it exceeds 50 grams, you need to declare it to the customs. If it is within the range of self-use and reasonable quantity, the customs will release it; However, if it exceeds the reasonable amount for personal use, for example, it reaches hundreds or even kilograms at a time, it is likely to be regarded as imported goods and needs to be declared in the form of import and export. The customs shall go through the clearance formalities with the Import and Export License of the People's Bank of China issued by the head office of the People's Bank of China or its authorized branch, and shall pay taxes on the goods before releasing them. If it is not declared, it may even be regarded as "smuggling".
