Stripes: white or green.
Description: Triclinic crystal system, aphanitic, rare tiny crystals, which can only be seen under a microscope.
Fracture: Shell-shaped to granular (related to porosity).
Hardness: the Mohs hardness of dense block is 5~6, and it is smaller when the porosity is large.
Toughness: Chalkiness is small in toughness, easy to break, and dense in toughness.
Relative density: 2.4~2.9, the standard value is 2.76.
Transparency: usually opaque.
Gloss: the polished surface is oily glass luster, and the fracture surface is oily dark luster.
Turquoise (English: turquoise), also known as Turkish jade, is an aqueous phosphate of copper and aluminum, which belongs to phosphate minerals. Molecular structural formula: CuAl6(PO4)4(OH)? 4H? O, generally produced by water precipitation, varies in color from blue-green to light green and light yellow, but the hardness varies greatly. Turquoise is regarded as a gem, and blue is a precious variety.
Turquoise is not produced in Turkey. It is said that the turquoise produced in ancient Persia was named after it was imported into Europe by Turkey. Huge reserves, not only in China, but also in Egypt, Iran, the United States, Russia, Chile, Australia, Peru and South Africa.
